LDA decission boundaries
Hello,
I would like to plot the results of a LDA analysis plotting the
discriminant scores with the decission boundaries on it with rggobi. I
have GGobi already installed on my computer. I have three classes, so
the plot would be LD1xLD2 plus the decission boundaries. Here there is
the code I use make the plot:
library(MASS)

Q: PRI leading 0 (area access code) or 00 (country access code) missing on incoming callerid
...de in europe) and the 00 (country accescode in europe)
are missing on incoming callerids.
only prepending a single 0 is not the solution as suggested by some
writers on this list, because there is no way to differ between national
and international callerids and it's not possible to make the decission
based on the length of the presented callerid, as the length of the
callerid can vary in most countries.
e.g.: i'm getting signalled 4123456789 which could be a call from
"Barmstedt (Germany)" which has the areacode '4123' or from Switzerland
which has the countrycode ...

@Eero: IMHO you are missing some points here. There are more and more
browsers that are unable to use SSL{2,3} as well as TLS1.0, not just
disabled via config, but this decission was made at compile time.
Newer Android and Apple-iOS devices for example.
And the point is not that the site supports TLS1.0, but that it does
not support TLS1.1 and/or TLS 1.2, and as such is incassessible
to devices that ask for TLS1.1 as minimum for HTTPS.
But that is for the admins/webmaster...

Short: See my last answer - secure is never a black or white decission.
The chosen cypher will protect your traffic and its better than plain text.
Long: The client negotiates the supported ciphers with the server and
chooses one that fits for him. I *guess* that k9/anroid simply does not
support the GCM cipher and therefore uses another one. To get the "best&qu...

RBL with stock Dovecot 2.2.15 (was Re: IP drop list)
...return OK
exit 0
# return FAIL
exit 1
END
I get the log entry:
ip=127.0.0.1 service=imap
/usr/local/dovecot-2.2.15/libexec/dovecot/checkpassword-reply
and with exit 0, the next passdb{} let me login, and with exit 1, all
logins fail.
So, with the current stock Dovecot you can make RBL calls and
decissions with a script. ;-)

H 323 + Netmeeting test drive
...ts sond card set up properly and i have some error
from Gnomeeting when a make a call, but the other peer does not get any
call.
Hopefully some of you guys, will so patent to give me some light on that
problem?? I need to show something clear to my manager and we'll not
have anything to make a decission.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Diego Fernandez
PS: Some Asterisk IRC users gave me some ideas about not using H323 and
go to SIP, but my first goal has to be make the thing wotk with
netmeeting clients or similar (SIP) but free, and afterwards make a
decission about other options.

sambaLMPassword
I have a Samba-PDC installation (version is 3.6.3) with openLDAP.
When I change the password from a client (Windows/XP and Windows/7) the
attribute "sambaNTPassword" is changed and I can log-in with the new
pssword.
The problem is that the content of the attribute "sambaLMPassword" is
deleted.
I remember that in my previous version of Samba (3.0.28) both attributes

Distribution to choose
Hi all,
I just wanted to ask around what distributions were used for production purposes?
I decided to use CentOS 7. The main reason is because its EOL is in 2024.
What are your reasons to decide for a specific distribution for your production systems?

RE: [PATCH] - make qemu serial summagraphics settings a bitmore fluid
Ben-
I like the idea but I don''t understand how this patch can work:
1) You never put a name into `serial_devices[]'' for the summa port.
The loop in `main'' that initializes the serial devices only calls
`qemu_chr_open'' if there''s a string name in `serial_devices''. How did
you get this to work?
2) Minor point, I don''t see the need

- There is no warranty for it anymore (time since buy)

I'd go for a Samsung Evo 850, that will give you five years of warranty.
But, it's your drive, you make the decissions.

best selection of covariates (for each individual)
...This "selection of covariates for each subject" (or eliminating
covariates for each subject) has to be done in a way that maximizes the
correct classification of class based on the presence/absence of covariates.
(His reason for doing this is that this simplifies further analyses and
decission-making; I tried to explain that with 12 classes and 8 covariates
where each subject only has one "presence" covar we would not be able to do a
great job predicting class memebership, but he insists the
one-covar-per-subject is essential).
I thought about a couple of approaches (see d...
