I am not sure if it will help but I would try turning up the logging on kerberos
and see it that shows anything interesting. see
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/BIND9_DLZ_DNS_Back_End#Debugging_the_BIND9_DLZ_Module
for details.

Does Sernet use 2 separate copies of krb5.conf? If yes, are they symlinked?
The Wiki page specifically says don't do that.

You could try that, but that log fragment looks a bit different from
mine. Okay, I do not have any lines similar to yours, but if I did, I
feel they would look like this:

Bind_DLZ krb errors @ startup.
Hi,
I have 2 self compiled samba 4 DCs running 4.7.7 on Centos 7.5. One of them
is operating normally. On the other DC bind will not start. I turned up
debugging on dlz_bind as per
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/BIND9_DLZ_DNS_Back_End#Debugging_the_BIND9_DLZ_Module
When I try to start named I get the following in the logs:
May 10 13:19:44 vdc2 named[23773]: starting BIND 9.9.4-RedHat-9.9.4-61.el7 -u named -c /etc/named.conf
May 10 13:19:44 vdc2 named[23773]: built with '--build=x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu' '--host=x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu' '-...

Ok. :)
I'll reinstall using supported version 9.11.3-2
OK, your server, but I think you should be aware that I have been using
