Double user name
I have two samba servers running Ubuntu 10.04 Samba Version 3.4.7
One server acts as domain controller and stores user ids in a .tdb
Somehow I've ended up with a duplicate user name.
On the Domain Controller
# pdbedit -w -L|grep debbie
debbie:1005:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:84DEC6FE3B018B0FB977EDDF5009742C:[U
]:LCT-4D4B086F:
On the other Server running winbind I get
# getent passwd|grep debbie
debbie:*:10025:10001::/home/ATLANTA/debbie:/bin/bash
LOUISE\debbie:*:10055:10232::/home/LOUISE/debbie:/bin/bash

Samba + BIND9 DLZ. DNS dosen't resolve FQDN, only short hostname
Hm,
I thought this to be the very TLD that is specifically assigned for
local networks with no plans to become Internet-wide. What is the
recommended TLD for such networks then?

How to create EXT3 file system image from directories?
Hi there,
Is there a utility to create an EXT3 file system image from directories?
Just like the mkfs.jffs2 which creates a JFFS2 file system image from
directories?
The "mke2fs -j" only creates the bare bone file system, what I want is to
build an image with pre-built content.
Thanks,
Debbie

at the end rather than GDM starting nicely, I get a "fuzzy" screen

If I should submit this a but report to bugs.centos.org, please

Dear R users,
Based on a set of binomial sample data, how would you utilize the "nlm" function in R to estimate the true proportion of the population?
Thanks.

SIP - SIP over PBX no audio when canreinvite=no
Hello list,
I am trying to solve a problem and after unsucessfully chasing forums
and google for some hours, I turn to you in hope of a solution. I feel
it's just a configuration issue but I just can't get my head wrapped
around it.
The situation is basically this: I have an Asterisk connected to an
Alcatel OmniPCX via SIP. Asterisk only ever does SIP and has no
dedicated hardware

about them when looking for NetBIOS info, so enabled them.
My one problem currently seems to be the wins records

Here the test RoadWarr is "DEBBIE" with all 3 services abled on the PC

disconnections to the VPN, wins is not updated here.
I'm testing browsing between "DEBBIE" and "RUPERT-LAPTOP". My internal
IPs are static.
I'm wondering w...

System crash on loading gdm revisited

but have just rebuilt with the CentOS kernel source
and am now seeing these crashes.
Can someone point me to the specific patch that fixes
this problem? I'd like to confirm that it's part of

Thanks,
Debbie

However, when I typed in the following code, I would yield the same answer.
<-1

+ x<-x-(x^3-2*x^2+3*x-5)/(3*x^2-4*x+3)}

Can anyone suggest me what the problem is?
Please help.
Thanks so much.

Changing kernel params in CentOS 4.2
...e have some experience
with FC3 & the 2.6.11 kernel already)?
Last, in your opinion does changing the kernel rev greatly change the name
of what you're running? If we go to say the 2.6.16 kernel on our CentOS 4.2
system, is it still valid to call it CentOS 4.2?
Thanks for any assistance,
Debbie
