How do I mount a share on my Debian server ?
I'm running a small debian server with 15 users. The server is behid a
firewall on the inside of a large windows network.
I need to access a share on one of the win2003 servers. How do I do this?
I want to mount the win share so that I permanently can access it from the
debain workstations.
On my server I have debain 3.2 running .
Do I have to open ports in my firewall?
I have tried to access the shares from the Debain server, but without any
luck.
My ubuntu laptop connects to the shares with no problems, ( from behind my
firewall)
so I know it is possible to reach and...

AMD64 + Debain + rails + Oracle ?
Hi folks,
Does anyone know how to install the OCI8 ruby interface on Debian64
without having to install Oracle?
My understanding, from experience with Debian i386, is that you need
Oracle (specifically the SQLPlus) installed to be able to compile
OCI8. Since my new dev machine is AMD64 running Debian, I''m stuck.
My rails applications need to connect to a remote Oracle 10g, but

"Debain" way of installing packages
...ols. However some packages that I have already installed with R tools
might eventually appear as Debian packages, ... or I might use
update.packages() for Debian packages. By the way is field
'Package-Manager: Debian' already implemented. I would check, but I
unfortunately don't have Debain at home.
I was thinking on some functions or eventually an R package r-debian,
which would ease this installation dilemma. Actually I wrote something
already in december but put it off. It is given bellow. It is probably
far from optimal but it was just a proof of concept. Many more functions

Asterisk@Home Install Problem
...failure, lack of disk space, and/or hardware
problems. This is a fatal error and your install will be aborted.
Please verify your media and try your install again.
I've gotten this on 3 different cd's I've burned. To make sure it
wasn't a hardware problem of some sort, I installed Debain last night.
Went without a hitch, but *@Home doesn't like it... Any ideas as to
why?

Hey martin,
Thanks for the reply! I made the changes you suggested but I got the
same results.
According to my understanding, #header "from" "person at example.com"# is
correct for an exact match.

So, is there a workaround at dovecot or I need to upgrade to a latest
