XP woes
Working with Windows XP and debian Samba 2.2.3a on a box as my PDC. Sign
or seal patch
was applied. The past few days when we have been adding new computers
running windows XP to
the domain we have had machines tell us they have joined the domain, but

try to log onto them using a "domain" account we get the following error on
the
PC:

Sharing a windows printer problem
Hello. I have been trying to print to a windows printer share with no success.
So far I have found out that the smbprint does not execute. I verified this by looking at the

joing machines "Kristyan Osborne"
Hi, I have the same error message as Kristyan Osborne's original post. What
I did was I removed the machine account from smbpasswd and passwd and
created same account names, joined the domain again and somehow it worked
again. I am running Samba 2.2.5 and I was wondering if this could be a bug.
Regards,
Dominic

Lost connection to network drive
Hi,
I am using samba 2.2.5. My problem is with windows 2000, the mapped network
drive share losses connection after a period of time, e.g. 30 minutes. You
will see an "X" marked red in the mapped drive letters. I looked up
microsoft's website for persistent connections problems but the suggestion
is already set in my register keys.

printing in dos slows
Hi,
I have an issue in dos printing. My okidata dot matrix printer is directly
connected to linux box and is a shared printer in samba . I am using lprng.
My problem is with dos printing. When i print, it spools first indicated in
the windows printer window. It takes a minute before it actually sends to
the linux box, you will see an indicator of spooled bytes. Once it is
submitted it prints
