Character coerced to factor and I cannot get it back
Something probably obivous but I don't see it. I
needed to find the first 1 or two digits of some 5 and
6 digit numbers since they identified research sites
while the rest of the number was the plot id.
I converted the numbers to characters, got the first 1
or 2 characters as appropriate and went to add the
new vector to the data.frame. For some reason R is
insisting on turning the

Error:non-numeric argument in my function

I have a function:
zywnoscCalosc<- function( jedzenie, n1, n2, n3, n4, d1, d2, d3, d4 ) {
ndf <- data.frame(nn1=n1,nn2=n2,nn3=n3,nn4=n4)
ddf <- data.frame(dd1=d1,dd2=d2,dd3=d3,dd4=d4)
for (i in 1:length(n1)){
wekt_n = ndf[i,]
wekt_n_ok = wekt_n[!is.na(wekt_n)]
dl_n = length(wekt_n_ok)
wynik = (1*wekt_n_ok)/(1*dl_n)

and I get an error like this:

Question about the license of an R package

GPL >=2.
I want to release my package under a GPL >= 2 license, and after
reading the section 1.1.1 of the R-exts manual and looking at the
compatibility matrix found on http://gplv3.fsf.org/dd3-faq, I'm still
in doubt if I can do that.
I would appreciate if you could tell me if can I release my package
under a GPL >= 2 license considering the aforementioned licenses ?
Finally, a general question:
When a package is released under GPL >=2, does it mean that the terms

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
