hme0 interface going up/down (dhclient ?)
Hi all, I am having an issue where my hme0 interface is always turning up and down with dhclient requesting a lease. I am thinking this could be the same issue described by Jeremy Chadwick on June 9th: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2013-June/073711.html Everything was fine on 8.2-STABLE and older versions. It was then upgraded directly to 9.0-STABLE

upgrading DC 4.5.x to 4.7.x
Thank for all advice, I have a question about: "- add new 4.7.2 DCs using their old names/ips - remove the temporary DC" Do I understand correctly, You created new machine (or removed/reinstalled samba completely), used IP/hostname of the previous DC and just re-added as DC? Also, did You have any issues after removing temporary DC? Some time ago i had to remove one DC and I had

FreeBSD 4.9-PRE+ nvidia
Hello all. I have the same problem as described by Dmitry a day ago in a topic similar. I am able to use x11 with base driver "nv" but when I load "nvidia" driver, startx simply crash my machine and reboot after 5 seconds. I have a similar log file as reported by Dmitry even using startx+logverbose option. XF86Config file is similar, except it is not the same nvidia video

Could not convert SID S-0-0, error is NT_STATUS_NONE_MAPPED
...the target DC is on Debian Bookworm with both samba 4.17.<many> and 4.18.8 . It looks like a different behaviour of rsync that I never saw on Bullseye or before, with many different samba versions over the years. I'm using rsync through ssh with rsync -avAX --delete /var/lib/samba/sysvol dcX:/var/lib/samba The winbind message disappears when adding --numeric-ids so that rsync does not need to use winbind to map from user and group names to Unix UIDs and GIDs. Besides the different rsync version on Bookworm it has to do with the history of my domain: at a certain time I added rfc2307...

Time is synced. ldapcmp issue
Hi all, It seems "samba-tool ldapcmp" does not support too much items in Samba's database. Playing for a while with DB I was never able to run ldapcmp successfully. So yesterday I installed a platform to fill piece by piece my two small DCs and to run ldapcmp. The process follows. Test platform: 2 DCs using Debian 8.1 "net install" with only system tools, up to date,

Hi Mathias, I am under the impression that whenChanged is one of the fields that do not replicate.
