Yep, but some samba-tool database cleaning was required on the temp DC:
dbcheck --crossncs --fix
--remove-other-dead-server=dcX
samba-tool domain tombstones expunge --tombstone-lifetime=1
and some more
dbcheck --crossncs --fix
until everything is healthy.

hme0 interface going up/down (dhclient ?)
Hi all,
I am having an issue where my hme0 interface is always turning up and down with dhclient requesting a lease.
I am thinking this could be the same issue described by Jeremy Chadwick on June 9th:
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2013-June/073711.html
Everything was fine on 8.2-STABLE and older versions.
It was then upgraded directly to 9.0-STABLE

I have a question about:

Do I understand correctly, You created new machine (or

FreeBSD 4.9-PRE+ nvidia
Hello all.
I have the same problem as described by Dmitry a day ago in a topic similar.
I am able to use x11 with base driver "nv" but when I load "nvidia" driver,
startx
simply crash my machine and reboot after 5 seconds. I have a similar log
file as reported by Dmitry even using startx+logverbose option. XF86Config
file is similar, except it is not the same nvidia video

I'm using rsync through ssh with
rsync -avAX --delete /var/lib/samba/sysvol dcX:/var/lib/samba
The winbind message disappears when adding --numeric-ids so that rsync
does not need to use winbind to map from user and group names to Unix

Besides the different rsync version on Bookworm it has to do with the
history of my domain: at a certain time I added rfc2307...

If YOU created the CA.pem and all server use that one, then yes.
Then you should deploy that to all servers and pc.s
XCA is a handy tool to manage Certificates, thats the one i use.

ldapcmp issue
Hi all,
It seems "samba-tool ldapcmp" does not support too much items in Samba's
database.
Playing for a while with DB I was never able to run ldapcmp successfully.
So yesterday I installed a platform to fill piece by piece my two small DCs
and to run ldapcmp. The process follows.
Test platform: 2 DCs using Debian 8.1 "net install" with only system tools,

ldapcmp issue
Hi Mathias,
I am under the impression that whenChanged is one of the fields that do
not replicate. Therefore we run ldapcmp like:
samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://dcX ldap://dcY --filter=whenChanged
Hope that helps,
MJ
