New busydetect routines for analog channels (FXO mostly)
...t; should be betwen 5 and 15. The best value to try is
busycount=10
Also if you have some strange signal like 3 beeps (200 ms tone, 200 ms
silence) and then silence of e.g. 500 ms then you need to comment out:
BUSYDETECT+= #-DBUSYDETECT_TONEONLY
But then you can't use it with
BUSYDETECT+= #-DBUSYDETECT_COMPARE_TONE_AND_SILENCE
The last 'flag' should enforce detection (less false hangups)
although I tested the algorithm without
-DBUSYDETECT_TONEONLY nor -DBUSYDETECT_COMPARE_TONE_AND_SILENCE
with busycount = 10 and after 1 hour of conversation I didn't have any
false hangups.

Latest batch of CVS changes
I now get:-
/usr/src/asterisk/dsp.c:1395: undefined reference to
`ast_dsp_busydetect'
The Make file changes modify BUSYDETECT but if you have
BUSYDETECT+= -DBUSYDETECT_COMPARE_TONE_AND_SILENCE
the above error is shown.
Renabling BUSYDETECT+= -DBUSYDETECT_MARTIN corrects the problem.

busydetect=yes, busycount=5: hangup automtically without reason, why?
...e following problem:
While I am calling to the Asterisk PBX, and during the
response for the IVR and enter the digits and the
code, it hangup by it self (whout any reason).
I do not if I have to increase the busycount for
higher values, or it is related to other paramters or
it is related to the
-DBUSYDETECT_COMPARE_TONE_AND_SILENCE option in the
Asterisk Makefile, even if it is related to that
option, really I do not know what shall I do and what
exactly things mean to be able to set something
resonable.
Any help?

Re: [2] X100p problem
...usy signal looking only at tone lengths
# For example if you have 3 beeps 100ms tone, 100ms silence separated
by 500 ms$ BUSYDETECT+= #-DBUSYDETECT_TONEONLY
# Inforce the detection of busy singal (get rid of false hangups)
# Don't use together with -DBUSYDETECT_TONEONLY
BUSYDETECT+= #-DBUSYDETECT_COMPARE_TONE_AND_SILENCE

X100P and NTL (ex Cable + Wireless)
Firstly, let me just say I am new to asterisk and if anything I've said
is covered in an FAQ or in previous posts I apologise but I have tried
searching and I've attempted a few of the things I found but they didn't
help.
Has anybody got any experience using an X100P on an NTL phone line in
the UK (I'm in an ex Cable & Wireless area if that makes any difference).
