Windows 11 24H2, Samba 4.21.3 AD DC and domain users cannot log in
...issues before it got really
bad.
But strange thing is, that clean install of 22H2 had same issue after
successfully joining domain. And issue remained after upgrading to 23H2.
And 22H2 did not even have latest security updates available.
For me strangest part is, that after using "Nltest /DBFlag:2080FFFF" to
set netlogon service to provide debug logs (after that restarting
service), that debug complains about being unable to log into ldap server.
Also, when trying to log in with invalid password (for domain account),
I get "The username or password is incorrect. Try again&quo...

FWIW, I think this is down to a difference in handling NetGetAnyDCName
on Windows Server 2025 compared to 2022.
On 2025, I see this in netlogon.log (nltest /dbflag:ffffffff):
+ 04/23 20:00:38 [CRITICAL] [2268] DOMTEST: NetrGetAnyDCName: domtest: No such trusted domain
... which matches up with a log entry in log.winbindd-DOMTEST

Upgraded SAMBA4 DC's, now no logon scripts
Logon scripts assigned to a user do not execute when the user logs on;
it did before the upgrade.
I can run the script from the command line and it completes OK [like
\\{DOMAIN}\netlogon\logon.bat]. I can also browse to the [netlogon]
share without issue.
Upgrade was from a late 4.0.x to 4.1.x to current 4.2.x. User's can
logon without other issues [apparently].
