Automatic Insertion of OpenACC/OpenMP directives
Dear LLVMers,
we have released a tool that uses LLVM to insert OpenACC or OpenMP
4.0 directives in programs. You can use the tool online here:
http://cuda.dcc.ufmg.br/dawn/. Our tool, dawn-cc, analyzes the LLVM IR
to infer the sizes of memory chunks, and to find dependences within
loops. After that, we use debug information to translate the low-level
information back into annotations that we insert into C/C++ programs.
For instance, if we take a program like this one...

mean for subset
Hello, does anyone know how to take the mean for a subset of observations?
For example, suppose my data looks like this:
OBS NAME SCORE
1 Tom 92
2 Tom 88
3 Tom 56
4 James 85
5 James 75
6 James 32
7 Dawn 56
8 Dawn 91
9 Clara 95
10 Clara 84
Is there a way to get the mean of the SCORE variable by NAME but only when
the number of observations is equal to 3? In other words, is there a way to
get the mean of the SCORE variable for Tom and James, but not for Daw...

Warhammer: Dawn Of War Winter Assault Expansion
Hello.
I'm trying to install this expansion under wine. The uninstaller reverted
Dawn Of War to 1.40 correctly as it should, but due to an msi installer
error, the expansion didn't install.
I'm trying to copy the files by hand; I used cabextract to get them from
inside the CAB files, but now I need to know where to put them. These files
are:

Dawn of War alert sounds not working
Hi, I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 with wine 1.1.22, and I've got a problem with dawn of war original. When I load up a skirmish or multiplayer game, the sounds that a unit or building make when clicked on do not play. In addition, the sounds made when a unit is taking fire for example, don't play either. When I reload the skirmish game again, everything works fine. I've got...

How to install C&C: Tiberium Dawn in Ubuntu Karmic
Hi,
I am currently using a hp mini, and my wine version is 1.0.0. I am trying to install Command and Conquer: Tiberium Dawn from the official website, and run it on ubuntu karmic using wine. When I tried it last night, I ran into the installation error: "Unable to locate necessary files. Please run setup.exe from the CD-ROM disc". Apparently others have run into this error, as it is posted on this page: http...

read.table -unexpected truncation of rows
Hello,
Are there any 'unallowed' (meta)characters that can cause R to parse
a file incorrectly when using read.table?
--Dawn
Here the background if it's needed:
I'm new to R, but have done some Perl. I'm trying to read in a
data.frame from a file using * as a record separator.
data <- read.table("all_genomes.data",header=T,sep="*")
This has been working great until now when I t...

Warhammer Dawn Of War: Dual core system: only one of the core working?
Hello.
I'd like to know if, under Windows, on a dual-core system, both cores are
used by this game. For me, under wine, though both cores are detected
correctly, only one of them is used (one is 100%, the other 0%).
Can anybody tell me if the game behaves the same under Windows? Thanks.

Re: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade model problems
I have just tried uninstalling then installing again, still the same problems, but it did help with the army painter (it now rotates, it didn't before).
I've tried the links, but neither improve the problems, just make the game run slightly faster (is this what they are meant to do?)
Could it be the CD that's the problem?
It's not exactly in perfect condition, if you know what I

Dawn of War trouble and other questions
Hi:
I'm a relative noob to Wine, and I'm having a little trouble getting Dawn of War (regular, plus Winter Assault) to run under Debian Lenny. When I try to install it, it always tries to install automatically to the c: drive, which I don't want to do because I don't have enough space (running on a laptop).
I do, however, have a USB external drive, which I'd lik...

modify and append new rows in a dataframe
My data frame shows changes on the variable act which records the consecutive duration (in seconds) of two states (wet-dry) over a few days for several?individuals (identified by Ring). Since I want to work with daytime (i.e. from dawn till dusk) and night time (i.e. from dusk till next dawn), I have to split act in two: from time[i] till dusk and from dusk until time[i+1], and from time[k] till dawn and from dawn until time[k+1].
Example:
ith row: 01-01-2000 20:55:00 act= 360 seconds
i+1th row: 01-01-2000 21:01:00 act= 30 seco...
