cross-subnet browsing problems
I'm trying to set up cross-subnet browsing using Samba on a Linux box
and a Sparc UltraEnterprise with Win95 and NT Workstation clients. I'm
using the Sparc as the domain master and also as the WINS server on the
108 subnet. The Linux box is the local master on the 46 subnet. Both
are running Samba 1.9.17alpha4. I can see the conversation between the
two samba servers and the browse

Word document corruption when connection lost
We've been having some problems where connections are being lost to our 2.0.4b Samba
machine, the specifics of which are in a different post. To add to the problems we find there is a
problem with particularly Word and also some other programs, with the file in memory getting
corrupted when the connection is lost. If a user loads a Word document from there Samba share
and then the

If I see no comment on this in a few weeks, I'll try to register this patch on the Samba web site
and let the Inoculan people know their software is broken.
samba-bugs@samba.org doesn't work any more. It should be reflected in the documentation.
Thanks to David M. Davisson for letting us know that anti-virus softwares try to access the
shares as guest.
