Disable SSLv3 in sendmail in CentOS 5
...8.13.8-ssl-opts.patch which adds support for disabling SSLv3 and
SSLv2 in sendmail.cf
But as far as I can see there is no support in sendmail.mc - I can't see
how to compile sendmail.mc to get the required line ServerSSLOptions in
sendmail.cf
Does anyone know how to do this ?

Protocol negotiation issue in rsync
...* any pre-release protocol version && some behavior flags. */
argstr[x++] = 'e';
The server is using version 26 and probably doesn't support -e.s anyway.
Why is rsync ignoring the negotiated protocol version and sending unsupported
options ?

There's also a _PATH_ROOTPATH defined for root defaults, but I didn't try
to implement that for root login.

OpenSSH for Windows seems to talk to my RH6 sshd, as does WinSCP, but I'm
not sure about other clients. I'd like to use a graphical ssh Windows
client (or at least one where I can have scrollbars and black-on-white
text, instead of DOS box grey-on-black)
Any suggestions ?

"cipher none" alternatives ?
...ication offers something like that.
We could presumably use HTTP GET to suck files if they were placed in a
webserver tree and use HTTP authentication. I'm not so sure about pushing
with POST or PUT.
Any suggestions ? Is it feasible to build OpenSSH with support for cipher
none ?

Dual boot with Windows 8.1, UEFI
...t record ?
- how can I make Windows boot from GRUB ? (I tried
"bcdedit /export C:\Boot\BCD", but that did not help - or I have the
wrong file or syntax)
Some documentation refers to a tool in Windows 8 called "EasyBCD", but I
can't find it in my system.

whois command in c6
the whois command in c6 references whois.v6nic.net for ip addresses in
the 43.0.0.0/8 range (and maybe others). v6nic is no longer a valid
whois server, any nets delegated to it should instead be delegated to apnic.
i have no upstream connections... this change was made in the generic
sources for jwhois some time ago
I see this fix was introduced in F20 here,

Compromised servers, SSH keys, and replay attacks
...e, in principle, that an attacker could steal private user keys
and machine keys from a rooted server, then subvert the DNS and entice
users to login to their own server instead. Though I'm not sure why
they'd want to do that having got server root. Bypass a firewall, maybe.)

Skype on CentOS
...r running Skype on CentOS ?
E.g. does it run natively on CentOS 7 ?
Or will it run with a custom LD_LIBRARY_PATH, as does Mozilla ?
Or will it run inside a virtual machine, or with Wine ?
We have video capture cards using V4L2 that work with e.g. SeeVoghRN,
xawtv and, I think, Ekiga.

...finding the server CA
certificate in /etc/raddb/certs/cert8.db but the client certificate in a

Is this possible with the standard CentOS builds, and if so, is there a
tutorial or examples anywhere ?
If not, has anyone solved this problem ?

problems compiling on Irix
...11/xauth add mylocal:12.0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1
In an earlier effort to resolve the PATH problem mentioned earlier,
another developer had created /etc/ssh/sshrc in order to try
setting the path, but had not executed xauth in it. So if I just delete
that file things should be OK, I hope.

/etc/usertty and SSH login
...With it set to no, sshd wants a password but it is
ignored.
/etc/usertty is mentioned in the manpage and info page for "login",
but I can not see it in the binary nor see that it is even being accessed
so I wonder what gives (I know this isn't really an openssh question)

extlinux >= 5.01 menu.c32 timeout doesn't work
...e timeout value is correct but nothing happens.
It worked well with extlinux 4.06...
I tried with extlinux 5.01, 5.10, 5.11-pre3 and 6.01-pre4, same problem.
This is probably related to the bios ?
Have you encountered this issue ?
Thanks,
