Aw: Dovecot - Postfix Calender Synchronisation
...ssible direction ? Postfix and Dovecot are responsible for mailing. If you want a calendar, you probably want a CalDav server or a Microsoft ActiveSync compatible server. There are various solutions out there, I know of caldav servers and libraries from sabredav.io, calendarserver.org, agendav.org, davical.org, radicale.org and bedework at apereo.org If you want a more integrated solution there is open-xchange (dovecot company is part of), sogo.nu, kolab.org, obm.org, horde, citadel, zimbra, zarafa While I have not tried all of those, I can recommend sogo.nu. I have not tried all of the above, and...

why Unicorn doesn't do slow clients
...Apache + mod_perl|mod_php|mongrel and Tomcat setups. And it was quite convincing at the time :> Implementation details: * david combines fork() with select() to multiplex file descriptors and get around select() and non-priviledged process FD limits. * The defaults at the top of the davic.c file are all pretty tame, but they''re all commented on and you can tweak them. * david mmaps a raw file that is an HTTP request, some small samples are provided but you can/should generate your own large POST/PUT requests to really stress request body handling. -- Eric W...

Calendar and address book with Dovecot
Hi all I recently install Postfix and Dovecot, and so far so good. My assumption was that calendar and address book (similar to Gmail calendar or address book) are part of Dovecot. However I do not see anything concerning them in any of the docs I have read so far. What other software (ideally open source, free) do I need in other to have Calendar and address book so my users can manage their

Resubmission after N days
Hi, I would like to implement a 43Folder system[1] with dovecot and a mail user agent. Use case: - I have a new mail in my inbox. I read it and see that I can't handle it now. I want to handle this mail in 5 days. - Now I want to have some sort of resubmission: the mail should be moved to a different location for these 5 days. - After 5 days the mail should be moved to my inbox again. How

I've been once in a while over the years thinking about implementing CalDAV (and CardDAV) to Dovecot. It might be time to start that soon. Does anyone have any suggestions? So far my main goals would be: - scalable, of course - configurable storage (object storage, regular fs, maybe some key-value dbs, maybe storing as emails) - efficient indexes (potentially using key-value dbs? or maybe
