Can any smart cookies out there show me samba configurations that allow programs to be run based on different file operations (save/delete/move/etc..)? I have a rhel6.0 server running kvm. I have recently needed to add additional cpu's to some of the guests but cannot do it via virt-manager, can't doit using virt, and can't do it by vi the guest.xml file. I would guess there's an alternate mac address for the guest interface and this is how it gets there but am not certain. ...I haven't seen it explained clearly. Certainly the value of UNIQUEID was being successfully passed to log.php in earlier versions of * but isn't now (I just installed version 1.2.4) Any advice welcome. Even if it is telling me we've beein doing this all wrong the whole time! Regards, DaveB

Could someone help me understand if what I'm seeing with share access is correct? On my samba domain I have two users (user1 and user2) and one share; the share has attribute "writelist = user1". On a linux machine I: mount the share with "mount -t cifs -o username=user1" successfully open a file in the share for writing with the perl "open" function
