New Sangoma AA Series?
Hello All,
I saw an add in my latest Linux Journal advertising Sangoma's new "AA
series" of FXO/FXS analog cards with on-board echo cancellation, but I
can't find any information at all on them. Even the link given in the
advertisement is a dead end as far as I can tell. Anybody else
seen/heard anything about this?

TDM04B Echo on Only One Channel
Hi,
I have a system that is experiencing profound echo on channel 4. I switched POTS lines around to see if it was the line or the port and it is still a problem on port four. Has anyone ever seen this before?
Thanks,
Steve

Issues with zaptel on FC3 - don't know how to fix zaptel after yum update
I have installed FC3 using the notes from lesnet
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+Fedora+Core+3
It worked very well, worked first time.
My configuration consists of:
(1) TDM400P w/ 2 FXS daughterboards and w/1 FXO daughterboard
I use yum update to update my installation.
After the update and reboot, I attempted to recompile zaptel, Zapata,
libpri, asterisk.
No errors, when I try and start zaptel with /etc/init.d/zaptel
I get:

>2) An IAX2 hardware device
Any Day Now(tm). Wasim has fallen off the face of the Earth, but
I've seen with my own two eyes a working copy of the Iaxy from
Digium, so this holds promise. My request for a 1u 24-port IAX-based
box that takes Digium daughterboards (FXO or FXS) generated some
interest when a show of hands was asked for at the VON show... Bob
Knight seemed to have an interest and some time on his hands. ;-)

This sort-of exists now, but again is not a completely robust

UK Caller ID - todays CVS update knocks out a channel
I've updated to the latest CVS as of today (and rebuilt RedHat 9).
My setup is as follows:
Wildcard X101P - channel 1
TDM400P - channels 2-3 - fxs cards with fxo signalling, channels 4-5 - fxo cards with fxs signalling
I got CallerID to work on channel 4 with an old CVS, despite the usual "Didn't finish CallerID spill" message.
However, as soon as I insert the following

dead line (no LED) on a TDM400B?
I moved my TDM400B cards (first two cards are 40's, third is a 31, last
is an 04) from one computer to another, copied all the config files, and
now the LED on the line 11 - third line of the third card doesn't go on
(it used to on the previous computer). I can get by telling * not to
use this line for now but does anyone have any suggestions for getting
it to work? Unseat and

Digium vs. Sangoma: Performance
Hello,
Several people asked to get a hold of the stats I used to determine that the
Sangoma T1/E1 boards performed better in our real-world tests than the
Digium boards. We've decided to post our results after confirming them over
the past month of operations.
Here is a link to the last two reviews I wrote about Sangoma with Asterisk:

Unitek ALPHA 1200 Sx USB cable
I've just acquired a Unitek ALPHA 1200 Sx UPS to replace an older serial
UPS that's been working well with NUT for years. Could anyone with a
Unitek tell me what the pinout on the 10P10C plug is so I can make up a
cable? Thanks.

"scratchy" sound on TE410P
asterisk 1.4.35
dahdi 2.3.0.1+2.3.0
one span on a 4port T1 card
Got complaints this morning that outbound and inbound calls were
"scratchy" and I made a few test calls. It kind of sounds like the gain
is too high somewhere, and the audio is overdriven. Is this a problem at
the carrier? I'm trying to call them now, but it's Sunday morning in the
sticks, and my chances of

Should digium build a 2FXO / 2FXS 4-port daughter board?
Please chime in if you've ever wished for digium to make a 4-port daughter
board with a combination of 2FXO AND 2FXS ports on the same card.
When using the 800 series cards, one must either choose 4-port permutations
of FXS/FXO, OR one must give up 2 valuable ports.
In other words, when you add ONE 100-series daughter board, you give up TWO
of your physical ports.
Is there a technical

Is this echo problem down to IP Phone hardware?
Hello
I have a Grandstream GXP2000 with latest firmware. When I use it holding the handpiece I don't hear any echo - neither does other end. However, if I use it handsfree, the other end notices echo when they speak - ie their voice is echoy. I hear their voice being a bit echoy.
Is this purely down to the IP Phone? Is there anything I can do about it? I considered buying a more

TDM400P problems with 1 FXS, 1 FXO
Hi-
I'm totally stumped configuring my TDM400P with one FXS and one FXO
module. Before I got the FXO module, I used to have an X101P, and
everything was working very well. Now * doesn't seem to recognize the
FXO channel. I've searched the wiki and the list archives. Stock Debian
3.0 stable installation. Any advice? Thanks.

FreeBSD 9.1 stability/robustness?
I need to build up a few servers and routers, and am wondering how
FreeBSD 9.1 is shaping up. Will it be likely to be more stable and
robust than 9.0-RELEASE? Are there issues that will have to wait
until 9.2-RELEASE to be fixed? Opinions welcome.

[QEMU PATCH v4] create struct for machine initialization arguments
This should help us to:
- More easily add or remove machine initialization arguments without
having to change every single machine init function;
- More easily make mechanical changes involving the machine init
functions in the future;
- Let machine initialization forward the init arguments to other
functions more easily.
This change was half-mechanical process: first the struct was added
