Problems with Hieraki 2
hi, I''ve already set up hieraki2 (database.yml: configured, schema.mysql.sql: imported). I noticed that there is no user (table "users" is empty) and I can''t login. So what should I do to use hieraki2? :) The title is "Root | Demo" - Why "demo"? I tried to create account called "root" using "signup" form. I''ve got

Is there any solution, or even work on, limiting which keys gets forwarded where?
...ly provide the name as you used on the jumphos, but > have ssh automatically connect to it "the right way". If I run tmux locally, and my network connection dies, then I lose what I was doing on remote host. Tmux is there to protect me from losing work (let's say, in the middle of datbase upgrade) due to network issues). > If you are concerned about having to perform two ssh logins (automatically, as > performed by the key authentication) per connection, you can make it use a master > ssh connection so there's a single connection to the jumphost through all the others...

ODBC voicemail questions
Before I head down the path of converting voicemail to an ODBC backend, I have a couple questions that I was hoping someone would know. 1. Is the voicemail message stored in the datbase, or just it's location/filename? 2. Does MWI propagate when using an ODBC backend? 3. If it does both of those things, wouldn't it work well for a centralized voicemail system instead of a solution like NFS or weird rsync scripts? -- Kyle Sexton -------------- next part -------------- A...

Is there a rake task to extract data from a database/table
I know I can get the schema by running rake db_schema_dump but, is there a way to ge the data from a table or a database into a format that can be quickly converted to a migration. What I''m really trying to do is synch my local development database (schema and data) with the db on my hosting service. -- Best Regards, -Larry "Work, work, work...there is no satisfactory

R Script Help!
I have written a script in an R text file that i can run through a terminal window. My script though contains lots of code to interpret my input arguments, which are then put into an SQL query to get the data I want to plot some graphs. The script works, but there must be an easier way to do what I want using maybe Rscript or something else but I can't seem to find it! Any help would be much

Problem saving data in different languages
Hi, I currently have a site that lets people enter info and submit it to the database. But the problem is the it lets people enter data in their language (portuguese and spanish) and all the special characters for those languages get replaced by symbols. Any idea how would I fix that? Thanks a lot. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Plans to intigrate ObjectGraph in to Rails
Are there any plans to move the schema definition from migrations to the model, where it should be? Like og does, which I think is used by the ruby Nitro framework... ObjectGraph: http://www.rubygarden.org/index.cgi/Libraries/og_tutorial.rdoc Example code: [code] class Post property :title, String, :sql => ''VARCHAR2(32) NOT NULL'' property :body, String property

Named Overflow Concern - SUMMARY (fwd)
...d for tea. Unfortunately some suggestions, such as upgrading the OS are currently impractical for me as time does not permit. I am effectively a one man band working with a friend who has a very small company. As such my tasks include network admin, web server admin, setting up dns, web design, datbase admin, cgi programming etc. etc. (And sadly all for no money at the present ;). The whole extra bit of defense is an unwelcome diversion, though if time permitted I might enjoy it but with so many tasks already this I can do without. Summary ======= 1. Summary of my configuration. 2. References...
