support for ALIAS records
Hi Christof! AFAIK, PowerDNS is the only open source name server that supports ALIAS. There was an idea to standardize ALIAS as "ANAME" (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-dnsop-aname/), but the idea was dropped in favor of SVCB/HTTPS record https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc9460/. So now we have to wait until all Browser vendors implement SVCB/HTTPS. Regards Klaus PS: If you build something new, don't use ALIAS, it can cause you pro...

How do I make this faster?
...39;m including my code below, in hopes that somebody will be able to figure out how to make it faster, either through parallelisation, or by making changes. I've marked the places where Rprof showed me it was slowing down: currencyCorrelation <- function(lagtime = 1) { require(quantmod) dataTrack <- getSymbols(commandArgs(trailingOnly=T)[1], from='2009-11-21', to='2011-04-03') stockData <- get(dataTrack) currencies <- row.names(oanda.currencies[grep(pattern='oz.', fixed=T, x =as.vector(oanda.currencies$oanda.df.1.length.oanda.df...2....1.)) == F]) corr...

JMAP support in Dovecot
...ail and JMAP core - they're currently with the RFC editor for the final round of edits - they should have assigned RFC numbers in the next few weeks I would imagine. There will be some minor editorial polish, but the way it works is entirely stable now, there won't be more changes. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jmap-core/ https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jmap-mail/ We're planning to have full support for everything in those specs into Cyrus IMAP version 3.2 as well. ietf discussion about draft-ietf-avt-rtp-speex
Hi Jean-Marc, Alfred and Greg, Are you receiving the mails from IETF about draft-ietf-avt-rtp-speex The mails are not coming from AVT mailing list, but I think we are all 3 part of a minimal list (draft-ietf-avt-rtp-speex at tools.ietf.org) dedicated to latest discussion about the draft. I have answered some questions, but there are small changes and adaptation still required to the ietf

Geneve: Generic Network Virtualization Encapsulation

support for ALIAS records
Hello! Does nsd support ALIAS records or is there a plan to support it somewhen in the future? I didn't find anything about this topic in conjunction with nsd. Afaik there is no RFC for it and I guess therefore nsd does not support it. PowerDNS does for example: https://doc.powerdns.com/authoritative/guides/alias.html Br, Christof -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

RFC8501 IPv6 Wildcard PTR
Per RFC 8501 seciont 2.2 https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8501 I have attempted to use a wildcard on a /64 boundary within a zonefile for NSD, but it doesn't not appear to work. PTR lookups fail... tested with, ie: $ORIGIN 1.1.0.0.8.5.1.b.2.2.5.2.ip6.arpa. * PTR my.fqdn.net. Did not work... or would you have to use? (n...

Would it be possible to get that protocol added to the list of manuals which typically get installed with the OpenSSH package? Previously I was stumbling around in the dark based on what I can see in the manpages and stackexchange. With the protocol, I c...
