Samba Question - Windows / Linux
...rs. We want everyone to have access to all files so
the question is: will Samba on the Linux servers allow them to access the
same files the Windows folks can? All servers have iSCSI initiators on
them.
If you need more info to answer the question, please let me know.
Thanks

Is Asterisk a PBX?
...; because it does so much. Can't call it "just a PBX" and
it's certainly more than a "VoIP server." You can't even call it a
"voice communications server" because it does more than that! Is it a
"Communications Server," or maybe a "telecom/datacom server?" I can see
it now, yet more acronyms! How about this: Asterisk is an AVCS/DCS
(kinda like CSU/DSU): Audio/Video Communications Server/Data
Communications Server?
We could have lots of fun with this one... :)

emails to astricon.net seems to bounce (at least for me)
I need information about proper & authorized Asterisk training in the
Miami, FL area and the possibility of later DCAP testing.
Thanks,

nmbd load problem
Hi,
I'm running Samba 3.0 on a Solaris 9 server.
If you look at the output of top you'll see that that nmbd process is
killing this machine:
I've restarted Samba numerous times, and each time the load goes down
immediately and when I restart it the load goes up and nmbd starts to take
up all the processor time.
load averages: 21.18, 19.61, 24.65

Server Push, with Active MQ?
I''ve read the postings about Juggernaut with interest, it is an
interesting approach but in wondering about a solution that wouldn''t
require flash I did some searching and came across activemq
(http://incubator.apache.org/activemq).
Their approach for messaging to an AJAX client

I'm trying to fix the printing problem in Samba 3.0.2a on Solaris 9:
When I printed a file via Samba, I got the message

I have checked all the file systems and all are OK.
Below is the log file:
