Introduction ============ This RFC proposes a mechanism to dump arbitrary messages into object files during compilation and retrieve them from the final executable. Background ========== We often need to collect information from all object files of applications. For example: - Mircea Trofin needs to collect information from the function inlining pass so that he can train the machine

corruption happening sometimes when I do a shutdown -r now
Hi all, Apologies but this is going to be a long post. I get a corruption sometime when I do a $sudo shutdown -r now This is on an ubuntu 8.10 machine. The only way to resolve the same I know is to do a sudo fsck -y /dev/sdb7 This is the output I got when I ran fsck through the Live CD $ sudo fsck -y /dev/sdb7 fsck 1.41.3 (12-Oct-2008) e2fsck 1.41.3 (12-Oct-2008) /dev/sdb7 contains a file

DAR - Disk ARchive packaged for CentOS?
Hi folks, I was searching for a backup tool simple and easy to use from command line to backup on DVD certain disks, even the whole OS. I was using mondoarchive almost succesfully but recently found what i think i was needing, it's called DAR (http://dar.linux.free.fr/) - i think im not the first that uses it - anyway, after searching for it already packaged for CentOS/RHEL/Fedora, i

[RFC] Introduce Dump Accumulator
I think that we should think about the relationship between this proposed mechanism and the existing mechanism that we have for emitting and capturing optimization remarks. In some sense, I feel like we already have a lot of this capability (e.g., llc has -remarks-section).  -Hal On 8/5/20 5:51 PM, Johannes Doerfert via llvm-dev wrote: > I like the ability, not sure about the proposed

rgl movimiento

(Dar)Wine and The Bat!
Greetings, I'm trying to run The Bat! (email client by RITlabs) on Mac OS X 10.5.7 with the most current XQuartz installed. I compiled Wine 1.1.22 using MacPorts and confirmed it is working for simple Windows applications. (Btw, is this Wine or Darwine, since MacPorts seems to download and compile the official Wine sources?) After installing The Bat!, it starts up and immediately quits with

Sound shuts off when going past the main menu in MGS1
I've got Metal Gear Solid running fairly smoothly in Wine 1.3.31 on Mac OSX Snow Leopard, with no instability or crashes so far. When I start the game, the sound acts as it should-- however, going past the main menu (such as to Briefing or New Game) causes the sound to stop working. How can this issue be fixed? Here's my console output: Code:

HFS+ resource forks: WIP patch included
....0. This is a valuable feature for me right now, so I'm resisting altering it. Current (WIP!) version of patch is included below. It's also available and will be kept updated at: http://www.quesera.com/~reynhout/misc/rsync-hfs-mode-patch The switch to turn the new stuff on is: --hfs-mode=darsplit I wanted to include mode "appledot" to set the resource fork filename to ._<filename> on the other side, but the sorting issue described above got in the way...for now, at least. Thanks again for any help you can offer. Don't be gentle. diff -u rsync-2.6.0/flist.c rsync-...

Syslinux 3.86 released; Syslinux 4.00 now in beta test
Syslinux 3.86 is out; it is a bug fix release. Syslinux 4.00, starting with Syslinux 4.00-pre38, is now officially in beta test. Special thanks to Intel Corporation, my current employer, for their support for my Syslinux work. Changes in 3.86: * chain.c32: fix chainloading the MBR of a hard disk (broken in 3.85). * mboot.c32: report the boot loader name in the information structure. *
