ATI ES100 patch
Hello,
I want to apply this patch:
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Linux_3.0_bugs_impacting_Xen#32-bit_graphic_cards_.28AGP.2C_or_server_ones:_ATI_ES1000.29_can.27t_do_Xorg
I downloaded the patch from:
http://darnok.org/xen/vga.patch
and I did this to apply it:
patch < vga.patch
It asks for a file to patch, and it may be obvious, but I don''t know
which is the file.
Also, I think that it may be a more recent version in the git tree,
but I am not sure how to download just the patch, or all the co...

Due to popular demand, I have finally found time to write this up. I had
to rush it a little, but hopefully you get the gist.

Beta CentOS 7 Xen packages available
FIrstly Centos is primarily a RHEL clone.
This means that the primary design decisions are to be as RHEL like as
possible.
After that there are additions and upgrades.
Secondly Fedora does not actively support Xen.
As a long time Xen and RH/Fedora user I have spent lots of time
building/rebuilding broken/missing packages in Fedora.
Quite frankly Xen under Fedora is somewhat broken.

CPU features/flags are just outright is not there.
I tend to run into the problems as I am trying to use Xen for my
development environment.
I have posted fixes and bugs in the past and will in the future.
But Xen/Centos does not have a big dedicated development or a small one
for that matter...

UDP checksums broken in Dom0 -> DomU vif transfer
Hello,
when I boot DomU which uses DHCP to configure IPv4 address it does
never get a lease.
The packets travel to Dom0 where the dhcp server receives them, sends
a reply, that travels to DomU where dhclient receives it, says the
checksum is invalid, and discards it.
The problem is documented here:

[Ques]:xen_ident_map_ISA ant it's mfns...
Hi,
I am bit confused about the do_update_va_mapping call that dom0 makes in
xen_ident_map_ISA() to map ffff8800000a0000 to mfn a0. The mfn belongs
to DOMID_IO. Before the mfn is mapped, the l1 entry is not empty:
0000000139d08500: 00100001380a0027
After the mapping:
0000000139d08500: 00100000000a0467 as expected.
However, the mfn 1380a0 still seems to belong to dom0. Shouldn''t

[PATCH] PVH: remove code to map iomem from guest
It was decided during xen patch review that xen map the iomem
transparently, so remove xen_set_clr_mmio_pvh_pte() and the sub
hypercall PHYSDEVOP_map_iomem.

I thought you were saying it matters - as it should be done around the
same time as cpufreq drivers were loaded?

[PATCH] blkback: Fix block I/O latency issue
In blkback driver, after I/O requests are submitted to Dom-0 block I/O subsystem, blkback goes to ''sleep'' effectively without letting blkfront know about it (req_event isn''t set appropriately). Hence blkfront doesn''t notify blkback when it submits a new I/O thus delaying the ''dispatch'' of the new I/O to Dom-0 block I/O subsystem. The new I/O is

[RFC PATCH] Exporting ACPI Pxx/Cxx states to other kernel subsystems (v1).
Hello,
The following patches are a solution to a problem we have encountered
when using the Xen hypervisor:
- Need Pxx/Cxx states to save on power consumption when using Xen (we
do want those datacenters to consume less power!),
- Also need to figure out the Turbo mode so that the scheduler can properly
boost a core for CPU bound guests.
In essence the Xen hypervisor requires that

[Bug 74002] New: [un]docking Lenovo W530 results in interrupt storm
...This problem was first noticed
under a 3.10 kernel and associated nouveau driver. I then switched to the
above 3.13 kernel for the MSI interrupt support and to see if the problem
persisted.
The attached nouveau.interrupts is the output of read_interrupts, the source
for which is here: http://www.darnok.org/xen/read_interrupts.c. This file
shows the interrupts generated during 5 second intervals.

xen 4.0.1/w 2.6.32 swapper: page allocation failure
hi
xen 4.0.1 w/2.6.32.41
Last week dom0 experienced an hard crash and box need to be restarted
manually (despite kernel.panic=20).
Serial console was not setup, only netconsole. No relevant entries through
netconsole, but analyzing logs I see some crashes twenty minutes before
fatal hang.

High CPU temp, suspend problem - xen 4.1.5-pre, linux 3.7.x
Hi,
I''ve still have problems with ACPI(?) on Xen. After some system startup or
resume CPU temperature goes high although all domUs (and dom0) are idle. On
"good" system startup it is about 50-55C, on "bad" - above 67C (most time
above 70C). I''ve noticed difference in C-states repored by Xen (attached
files). On "bad" startups in addition suspend
