Desperate for a decent icecast client for Ubuntu 12.04
Hi,
My friend who is not a techie have a small radio and they used to broadcast
live with a mic plugged no a Ubuntu PC.
On Ubuntu 10.04 they used darksnow with the right config file and it was
OK.
But now under 12.04 darksnow crash, butt is really difficult to start wit
etc....
So simple question, is there any straight forward icecast client for ubuntu
12.04 with a decent GUI ?
they doesn't need any special feature actually
thanks

Smooth Linux icecast source GUI
Hi , I'm currently helping a small french Radio
they Use Edcast for now on some old Windows XP machines and it's not really
reliable at all although Edcast is a great piece of free software
Then they might migrate to a Linux Box , but apart from darksnow I can't
find a Linux GUI that would match the graphical ease of edcast.
maybe the best would be a Web frontend for DarkIce but I guess it's not
really meant to be controlled like that currently
Thanks.

I guess porting libshout to android is sufficient to resolve the problem ?
We solve temporary by using the 3G connection with USB from the
android phone on an Ubuntu PC with darkice/darksnow

Dropped / Duplicate Frames
Hi all,
I've been playing with Theora this week and have hacked together a test
program (http://www.firestorm.cx/live1/) that can encode live video (no
audio) from a V4L* source that supports the YUV420 pixel format.
Now encoding Theora ain't exactly a speedy process, and sometimes frames
get lost during capturing. What I'd like to be able to do is tell
libtheora that the next few
