Just stop it with the "Domain Admins" nonsense
Its littered throughout the docs eg..
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_Share_Using_Windows_ACLs
At best its *poor practice* which should not be frowned upon, but it just
shows a real disconnect with real world users and systems, where admins are
not "Domain Admins".

It obviously isn't evident, or the wiki wouldn't have been written in

Mounting Samba Shares Help!
...re:
2510: session setup failed: Call timed out: server did not respond after
20000 milliseconds
I believe the problem is related to the authentication process. Because
if I type an in-correct password the debug log is much longer and a
password error is returned.
Debug level 10 log:

SMB connection failed
mount.smbfs started (version 2.2.8a)

Windows clients keep losing connections (FQDN and hostname)
Connecting to \\server.domain.xx.uk\share
and \\server\share, works but we tend to lose "\\server\share" within a few
days, *but starts working again*.
\\FQDN\share eventually stops, with windows reporting "network path not
found". If I do a "net use" I can see several connections to \\fqdn\share,
and running "net use * /delete", brings back the the ability

vfs_recycle. Behaviour on modifing a file.
We have a samba share that is not used very much and when it is the files
are not be modified very often. The share will hold sensative information
and it is vital we can see what information the file contained for auditing
purposes.
I am not sure of the behaviour of the recycle bin when the contents of an
existing file are modified. I am told that modifing a file actually
deletes the original
