I assume I am doing(or not) something extremely simple that is causing my XP boxes to not see my linux(FC4) Samba server in the 'My Network Places'. I can access the shares by 'Map Network Drive' and using the IP address(192.168.0.1). Hi I need some logic to work out a value for me - this value is _always_ the 3rd last field in a string seperated by '.' but the string could be 5 or 6 fields long, e.g foo.bar.VALUE.baz.lala foor.bar.gigi.VALUE.baz.lala I need to find VALUE - if this were python or something i could do it but this has to be in shell - Any clues? thanks

hello all. I run a station which uses one primary mount to broadcast from. when DJs are not on air, we want to stream a playlist of music. I have a program taking care of that for us, but now I?m at a standstill. When our automation connects to our primary mount point no DJ can connect to broadcast. So, I?m assuming I need to work something out with a fallback mount point but don?t quite get how

...stalled it I noticed that my CPU usage jumped and stayed at 100% with wineserver taking > 85%. I killed the wineserver process and it dropped down, however it soon jumped back up when wineserver restarted itself. I then killed it again and all related processes and disabled it from starting as a damen at boot time. Is there anything that I should be looking for to fix this?
