rsync is coring
Greetings!
We are running an rsync process every hour and it is producing a core
file. We thought initially there was a corrupt file but that is gone and
the core file is still being produced. Would appreciate any help in
analysing the core file.
Thanks,

use of R in big companies (references) & R-support esp in Germany
...k management project
for a big conservative company in Germany. As part of the project
we would use R to run simulations, but the company is afraid of R.
1) If anybody has any reference projects using R I can quote, please
drop me an email. Best would be companies like Siemens, Allianz,
Munich Re, Daimler Chrysler, Credit Suisse etc.
2) Are there any software companies around with R know-how and are
interested in paid R-projects? The bigger the company, the better
as this client seems to be scared of software companies with less
than 200 developers.
Thanks,
-Armin

R-beta: .C and dyn.load for Windows
Dear R-users,
I maintain software for survival analysis written in C and Fortran since
many years ago. Recently I have rewritten part of it as functions to
be called from R by .C. This works fine with the unix version. I just
create a ".so" file as described in an example in the R distribution.
However, when I try this approach in Windows (NT or 95), using the

[LLVMdev] opt seems to ignore -load (Win32)
Hello Developers,
I was unsuccessfully trying to execute the hello world example described
in
http://llvm.org/docs/WritingAnLLVMPass.html
as a dynamic module loaded by opt.
Compiling the hello world example as a .dll file went pretty smoothly. An
opt -load <file.dll> -hello source.bc -o result.bc
would then complain about -hello being an unrecognized option although
hello was

Samba and authentication
Hello dear list-members !
Scenario:
Security is set to server and points to our NT DC's in the domain
a) User A has an account in the Domain and request a share, he will be
authenticated against the NT DC'S, this is ok ....
b) User B has NO account in the Domain and requests a share, he will be
rejected by the DC's
One short question:
Is it possible for samba to fallback to a
