[Bug 1339] New: pam_dhkeys doesn't work ( PAM_REINITIALIZE_CRED without PAM_ESTABLISH_CRED)

Report and suggested fix from Nalin Dahyabhai <nalin at redhat.com> But, the early call to pam_setcred() was later disabled in bug 789 to make linux pam_group.so work. There seems to be much confusion over the purpose of pam_setcred(), but I think it is safe to say that openssh should call setcred(ESTABLISH) instead of setcred(REINITIA...

pam, openssh and opie
Hello folks, this looks about the only place I can find on issues dealing with the subject line. The message that got me posting is included below the line of *'s. Basically I've tried getting this working with Pam authentication and using the new login binary that comes with Opie 2.32. No joy. I am using RedHat 6.0 OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 Pam 0.66-18 I can get the opie challenge only on a

SMB signing broken? 3.0.7 -> 3.0.8
Hi all. I originally suspected this problem was with netbios (which I have disabled by default) and Jerry has helped me out a bit with but I've been doing some more digging and I think the problem lies back further than I expected. I was trying to upgrade from 3.0.7 to 3.0.11 so I've recompiled all versions back from 3.0.11 and the problem first occured in 3.0.8. The issue is with

Ext3 Journal corruption on hitachi deskstars
I recently came across an enormous cluster of x86 clone machines running fedora core 1 (2.4.24) which have typically all intel or amd have VIA IDE chipsets. They frequently experience corrupted journals rendering the ext3 partition in read-only mode. More important than recovering the filesystem, I am interested in finding the root of the problem. The common hardware that all of these

Kerberos Keytab Code Update in 3.0.23
First thing - I'd like to say a big "THANK YOU" to the developers. I just upgraded to samba-3.0.23 and I've noticed an alarming issue with respect to my configuration. I've been using the built-in keytab management and it looks like the updated code no longer creates the userPrincipal in Active Directory. Whether this is an issue for others or not, it would be nice to have

Patches to report rsaref build and to call pam_setcred
I've attached two patches. The first just changes the output of "ssh -V" to print that it was built against rsaref if libRSAglue (which is built as part of openssl only when it is built against rsaref) is present at build-time. The second adds appropriate calls to pam_setcred() in sshd. Without them, our systems can't access AFS because the PAM modules only get tokens at a
