[UK SPECIFIC] DAHDI and a OpenVox Card
Hi,
Built a new server at the weekend and install Asterisk 1.6.0.9 and IAX and SIP work great :) The one problem I am having is getting the OpenVox (TDM400 type card) to work. It is successfully identified using WCTDM kernel module and dahdi_scan picks it up just fine. The issue is when I try and setup dahdi_channel.conf as it fails everytime. When running asterisk -rvvvv I see the port pick

2B Channel Transfer on XO-based T1
...O. The
documentation is very "distributed" and incomplete, so while it's not
working, it's definitely more likely my error somehow. Couple questions if
anybody is out there who even knows what TBCT is.
1) Is this even supported?
2) Does it require some settings in dahdi_channels, or features, or
whatever?
3) Would I "trigger" it via a Dial command or commands, or via
Transfer?
4) Do either or both of the legs need to be answered?
Thanks very much.

does chan dahdi supports fax?
hello everyone,
i have question about fax detection on dahdi channels. does dahdi channels
detect fax and pass it? if yes, does it detects both types of fax (g711
pass through and T.38)? finally, how can i enable it on dahdi_channels? i
set faxdetect=both in chan_dahdi.conf but dahdi can not pass fax(i just
wanna pass fax not send or receive it).
any comments or hints are really appreciated.

Is there a way that I can simply specify the extension associated with a
given dahdi channel in dahdi_channels.conf? It would seem logical, but I'm
finding no love. If you also know for sure that there ISN'T a way to do
what I'm asking, I'd like to know that too.
Is there a way to state something like:
context=2345 at privileged-out
or
context=privileged-out
targetexten=2345

Asterisks with ss7 problem
...ng to set up asterisk with ss7. Whenever I try to load module
chan_dahdi.so, I get the error
[Mar 26 17:33:27] ERROR[10437]: chan_dahdi.c:10458 mkintf: Unable to find
linkset -1
I have compiled dahdi, libss7, asterisks (am using asterisk 1.6) in that
order. Have already set signalling to ss7 in dahdi_channels.conf
How do I sort this out?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Peter.

Need to figure out DAHDI logical group from CDR record
I have a bunch of CDR records in the mysql database "asteriskcdrdb" on a FreePBX system. There is a DAHDI trunk defined in FreePBX which uses the "gN" identifier to make calls. So in this setup the trunk is roughly equivalent to a DAHDI logical group. I
want to know, given a CDR, which logical group (and therefore, trunk) was used to place the call, or was used to receive the

SIP Peer Name Variable
Hi,
Is there a variable that contains the Sip Peer name?
I was using ${CALLERID(num)} for outgoing calls, but when a call is being transferred, that variable contains something else.
I need a variable that is always set to the SIP Peer's name.
Thanks

Setting two E1 cards
Dear, I always had one E1 card with one span, so I've never had any
problem in set it up through /etc/dahdi/sustem.conf and
/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf because I put span=1.
But now I have a PBX with two E1 cards with 4 span (8 span in total).
How do I have to define both card in system.conf and chan_dahdi.conf,
and how do I have to refer each span to the corresponding card ???
Thanks a
