Font question -- Dagesh
Dagesh 2002, latest and greatest, will work with Wine. Some of the Hebrew
fonts are not working but others are as well as unicode fonts and western
fonts with unicode as well. For example, David did not work but Frank Ruehl,
Lucida, etc. did.
Leave the KDE (or other desktop) keyboard as default Englis...

buildkernel errors with "options SMBFS"
...he exact same kernel config file, without the
SMBFS option.
I'm not terribly concerned about this, as I was just going to play around with mounting
some NT exports, but it would be nice to know what is causing this.

Davka Writer
I am a new Linux and Wine user. I have successfully installed Wine in PCLinuxOS, and it is able to run an old Legacy program from Parsons Technology called Address Book.
I then used Wine to install an old version of Davka Writer, a Hebrew word processing program. The program appeared to install correctly, as far as I could tell. The installation required a serial number, which I have.

Today October 28, they are giving their software for free. Yes. Interest is
go great they had to take their main site offline! Downloads can be done from
the subsitute web page.
So ... is their's really better than Wine on Debian Sid or Experimental? I
have no need for MS-office. OO is more than good enought. However ... the
question remains :-)
They also offer a games package.
