so, then there is a problem right there. You cannot run slapd and a
Samba AD DC on the same computer (unless slapd is not running on ports
389 and 636)

I 'think' this picks up the 'daemon_list' from '/etc/conf.d/samba' and
uses that if it isn't 'samba', problem is that it isn't 'samba' and
there isn't a daemon called 'samba4'

After upgrading samba 4.5.10 to 4.9.13
Good time!
After upgrading samba 4.5.10 to 4.9.13, name resolution in AD hangs.
# /etc/init.d/samba status
?* status: crashed
But the domain itself works, but hangs when resolving user names.
What can be done?

Can't get NUT slave to connect to master
Hi thanks Roger. Well I'm just using Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS
I only ran that command as a few guides say that's how to establish if a
daemon is compiled with tcp wrappers:
https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/tcp-wrappers-hosts-allow-deny-tutorial/
I haven't really used TCP wrappers before so I'm not even sure if my
hosts.allow entries are correct:
upsd : ipaddressofclientgoeshere

I'm not sure what you are trying to do here. In any case, the
daemon_list should specify upsd, not ups. See man 5 hosts_access.
