Dovecot not responding to external clients
...ding to Linux-Mint 19, however, although the
Thunderbird client on the workstation works just fine, the other clients
can't connect. I've disabled the firewall, and nmap shows the ports
open, so it seems like some setting in the server. Can anyone help?

After logrotation Dovecot still writes to old log file

Doveadm should reopen it but no, still writes to old log file.
Not sure, maybe it's someone else, not dovecot, writing to the log file?

Adjusting logging with the "remote" syntax
...h local logins. I really don't need these reports, but still want to retain login logs for remote IPs. So I set the following in my configuration:
remote 127.0.0.1 {
info_log_path = /dev/null
}
When I run "doveadm -n -f remote=127.0.0.1?, it does seem to understand it:

Getting autoexpunge to work

doveadm backup from gmail with imapc
...ut apparently the ssl3_read_bytes function in openssl also
handles tls, so the reference to ssl3 in the message is
misleading, and the real problem must be elsewhere.

Problems with new installation
...main /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf, and in conf.d, 10-master.conf,
10-ssl.conf, and 10-mail.conf. I have restored the original
package-supplied versions of these files and restarted Dovecot, but
still no one can connect. Here's my configuration, with the version
number at the top:

LDA-DUPES insists mon being created in the wrong home directory

Sieve filter fileinto doesn't preserve flags
Using `fileinto` to move a mail into another mailbox removes flags
that have been set with a previous sieve filter with `addflag`.

Feature request.
...4094415:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert certificate expired: SSL alert number 45
is reported. That would mean that ONE client will once get the error
before dovecot fixes it. My personal fix is to restart dovecot once a
week from now on.
I might be running an older version:

rawlog segfaults (error 4 in libdovecot.so.0.0.0)
