installation problem
...ppy to live without. If nobody can suggest a remedy for the fault below
then if i could disable directx compilation that would be Ok as well. i am
using some cflags for glibc to optimise for pentium4. Could that be a
problem?

d3d8.spec.c Segmentation fault
Hi all, I am recieving this segmentation fault everytime i try and install
wine 20030618. I run a mandrake 9.1 system with glibc 2.3.2-3mdk. Anybody
have any ideas how to solve this?

Couple DLL problems
First: what is possible search path for builtin libraries (.dll.so) besides system-wide ?/usr/lib/wine??
Adding it to LD_LIBRARY_PATH didn't help?
(I'm using debian version from winehq repository right now)
Second: Is it possible to use wrapper of ?d3d8?? (morrowind graphics enhancer's).
E.g. use native d3d8.dll which would wrap around builtin d3d8 of wine?

DirectX 8.0
Hi,
I'm trying to install the game "Aquanox" under Wine which needs DirectX 8.0.
I've found a mail in the wine mailing list archive stating that wine already
includes DirectX, but Aquanox keeps complaining about a missing d3d8.dll.
Trying to install DirectX 8.0, I end up with "DirectX couldn't be installed
on this computer".
Any hints on this one?

DirectX 8 Library error.
...have written a directdraw program in dx7 that i can get working under
wine.
I have now written a simple directx8 3d program that works under windows
but i am getting these wierd errors under wine.
this is the output from wine -debugmsg +module pro666 I think it is a
problem with the two libraries d3d8.lib and d3dx8.lib as I can see errors
there. Also I notice that these are the two libraries I had to add to MS
Visual C++ when I compiled.
I have done my best at debugging this problem... If anybody has an Idea I
would very much appreciate some guidance.
