Hi! I typed the following commands on my fresh-new installed Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 VPS machine (via SSH): Code: apt-get install xserver-xorg-core xorg gdm gnome apt-get install wine wine -v Everything seems to works fine, but when I type: Code: cd ~/Diablo wine D2GS.exe & I get the error: Code: wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0443cbf8 at address 0x6ff5824c (thread 001c), starting debugger... i don't know if this is the right forum, or even if it's ok to post stuff like this here, but here goes :P i'm trying to set up my own private server for diablo2 lod, 1.09d only, and i got open characters working, but not a closed realm. it's got something to do with d2gs, but i can't figure out how to get that working in linux. i use ubuntu server (hardy) and i do not want a gui on there unless i REALLY have to. is it possible to use d2gs on wine w/o the x server? if so, how do i compile that?
