use of ‘idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes’ in DCs
...http://samba.bigbird.es/doku.php?id=samba:no-need-for-use-rfc2307 You do not need "use idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes" on a DC, unless under very special circumstances. SMBC_LINK directory entity type
Hello, I'm trying to write a smb client using the libsmbclient library but I don't know how to handle the SMBC_LINK type of smbc_dirent, which is defined in libsmbclient.h. I've grepped through the samba source code and it doesn't seem to appear anywhere except the mentioned header and examples. Can I safely assume there are no files/directories of such a type? Thanks,

Yes. The rf2307 attributes are part of the Samba AD schema. You don?t need the line in the DC unless under very exceptional circumstances. If you are not sure if you need the line, this means you don?t need the line. It will make your life easier. ...imary_group = yes ??? winbind use default domain = yes ??? winbind nss info = rfc2307 As I understand, to use it this way I need the "idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes" on DC? Or is there another way to directly map samba users and groups to linux users and groups? Best regards, Olaf Fr?czyk NAVI Sp. z o.o. Flash plugin not working
Hi, I have a fresh install of CentOS 5.5, with a minimal GNOME desktop. I configured RPMForge as third party repo. I updated everything first, then installed flash-plugin. (And yes, I restarted Firefox... :oD). All I see when I try to see some things Flash on the Internet, like Youtube or the likes, I get... nothing. The space remains white. Sometimes a black square will appear, sometimes it

Problem with multiple dns forwarders -timeout is too big - how to change?
...more than 10 seconds. It waits at least 10 seconds and after not getting an answer from the first DNS it then asks the second one. It is way too long. It makes browsing the internet on the clients a real pain. Is there a possibility to lower the timeout to eg. 1 second? Best regards, Olaf Fr?czyk

problem with a tty
hello everyone I'm writing an application which execute ssh, I communicate with a ssh process by stdin/stdout. Everything works fine, but lately I've noticed that I need TTY(for changing a password), so I use "-tt" option to force tty allocation, and now on stdout I get messages with all commands which I write. I mean: write(stdin): ls read(stdout): ls read(stdout): "ls
