32/64bit Locking Problems
...et 0, length 9223372036854775808 returned This is causing some extreme performance problems. Disabling oplocks and level 2 oplocks removes the error messages, but the performance still suffers. Anyone have any ideas on this one? System config is next: RHEL 3.0 2.4.21-27 (SMP) Samba-3.0.9-1.3E.2 CXFS 3.2.2 The filesystem (SGI CXFS) running on the RHEL 3.0 is exported via NFS, and is used by Samba. Samba not announcing the correct IP address to a Windows NT Wins server
...tems with dual NICs that run samba 2.2.5 with winbind, and neither of them is announcing the system's primary IP address correctly to the WINS server. The systems show up in the wins database with the secondary IP address (which is the private network we use for the heartbeat/meta data on our CXFS cluster). We worked around it by entering the correct IP addresses for these systems as static IP entries in the WINS server's database, but it would be nice to know how we could get those systems to automatically announce themselves correctly. The nsswitch.conf file for these machines uses...

Will there be a GUI for ZFS ?
I''ve been looking around and everywhere i only see ZFS text commands and not a single word bout a GUI to use and manage all those nice features it has, or did i miss something ? PS : My starter kit hasn''t arrived yet, so i don''t have Solaris installed . This message posted from opensolaris.org

This is the second post from Yager that shows solaris in a pretty good light.
