Documentation for /usr/lib/dovecot/imap executable
Dear Dovecot experts, I'm in the process of setting up dovecot with mbsync as a local cache for remote IMAP servers. One recipe that I found involves using the /usr/lib/dovecot/imap (This is with Debian's dovecot package). For example, in .mbsyncrc I have IMAPAccount cwg-wf-local RequireSSL no Tunnel "/usr/lib/dovecot/imap -o mail_location=maildir:/home/cwg/.mail/cwg-wf" This works, but I wonder: is there any documentation for the /usr/lib/dovecot/imap executable? What options does it take? If there's no documentation: where can I find this comm...

2.2 release imminent.
Well, as Andrew shouted at me again this weekend it's getting to be about that time.... :-) :-). Yep, we're thinking we should do an official 2.2 Samba release early next week, so if you have anything you can't live with, now would be a good time to tell us.... :-). It's been gestating longer than an elephant, so it's really time to let it out into the world and do its own

Next stable version of Samba.
Hi all, I'd like to ask to make a version number change for the next stable release. Currently we're planning to release something we're planning to call 2.0.8. However, what I'm actually busyly creating in the CVS tree is HEAD minus vfs and dfs and some of the TNG mods. This is a very big change to call 2.0.8, which implies a minor rev. on 2.0.7. Now I still want to

using rsync with Mac OS X
Rsync looks like a good tool for keeping files synchronized between two computers, such as a desktop and laptop. However, Mac OS uses a forked file system, with the second fork storing data critical to some files (such as applications) as well as type and creator information matching files up with the appropriate apps and file types. Mac OS X comes with a command-line utility called ditto
