Samba autofs autoumount problem with C$, D$, etc refusing to unmount
...CIFS and Samba users. The workaround is to
simply create the directories as needed: Duplicate the entry from the
error messages, and run these commands.
mkdir -p 'mnt/cifs/windowsbox/C$$$$'
umount 'mnt/cifs/windowsbox/C$$$$'
Note the single quotes!!!! Do not try to get cutesy and outsmart this
in shell scripting, the necessary backslash handling to get the $ into
the commands is awkward.
If folks want it, I'll publish a cleanup script. I just found this
workaround and wanted to get it into the search engines for the next
poor sucker.

The syntax should be consistent with let expressions, even if the meaning is completely different.

/bin/login problem
I would be surprised if someone hasn''t encountered this already, but I
haven''t found any discussion of the nature of this problem. I run RehHat
5.0. If a user makes a mistake in the login process such as the
following:
login: mistake
password: xxx
Login incorrect!
login: username
password xxxx
bash$
a ps will show, among other things,
2333 /bin/login --mistake.

PBX Console
Hi,
I've been looking into the one bad thing about * which is there's no
practical solution to running a console. You know the kind where
you have rows of buttons each representing an extension. You press
the button of the extension you want to transfer the call to, and
it's done.
There's the beginnig of GUI version but it's going to eat resources
for running X which

Help: I need community delegates
...expect that I''ve over-organized, but I think the separation I''ve
provided does a decent job of allowing people to volunteer just a
little bit of time in a relatively focused area.
I have filled in a few names, but mostly just stuck my name in
there. I''ve also used cutesy but probably lame titles in most
places, and I''m completely open to those being changed.
In my opinion, the most important unfilled roles on that page are
those related to documentation: Making sure it''s meeting the
community''s needs in terms of organization and a...
