Any update on Belkin F6H350 UNV support?
This model is available in AU/NZ and can work as USB or serial. It uses the cutdown Bulldog software that comes with the cheaper serial based belkin models, and they don't officially support the USB mode under Linux. Anyone managed to get this working with NUT using either serial or USB? I'd really like to get the extra functionality of the NUT tools vs the very simple...

Easy way to debug code
Hi, Trying to write a generic function to deal with either arrays or strings. Here''s a cutdown version of what I''m writing highlighting the problem I have. All i''m trying to do is take ''server1.testing.com'' from the variable $server (the variable being either a string or an array) and assign it to $bar, or assign ''server3.testing.com''...

Samba_dlz: canceling trasaction on zone domain
Hey Rowland, Below is a cutdown version of my DHCP. As you can see, I haven't really set anything up for ddns-update. While using Samba4's internal DNS I had the setting 'ddns-update-style interim;' and it seemed to have worked fine. But with bind I'm not sure what else is needed. Thanks for taking a look at...

Rsync with NAS & Storagecraft ShadowProtect Desktop
...s - easy. A business that is open 7 days is a problem, because the CPU load on the NAS is very high during the rsync operation and as it runs for about 36 hours it is impossible to avoid it running during business hours. I see two possible workarounds, and are open to ideas: 1. As the NAS runs a cutdown version of linux called busybox I could start/stop the rsync to do the full backup over several nights using crontab etc. A bit beyond my knowledge at the moment but I could read up on it. 2. I was wondering if there was a way to do some fancy rsync command line options based on the fact that each...

samba as a PDC
hi, i've compiled Version: 1.9.18-HEAD, with NTDOMAIN, and after many hours of testing/reading/debugging it seems it 'almost works'. Samba_dlz: canceling trasaction on zone domain
Hi there, I'm in the process of switching from using Samba4 internal DNS to using BIND as my backend DNS. However, I'm currently running into some issues with the transition. Here's an example of the messages I'm getting from /var/log/messages logs: Nov 9 15:34:26 pho-dcpvl-01N named[27524]: samba_dlz: starting transaction on zone DOMAIN Nov 9 15:34:26 pho-dcpvl-01N

Low-memory Centos5?
Good morning, I've inherited an old laptop from my wife that I'd like to use when I travel (it's fairly small with a 12" screen). The bad part is that it is maxed out on memory with 384MB. Has anyone played with using Centos5 on systems with little memory? Ideally, I don't need too much - Firefox, Openoffice, a little Perl/Python/C here and there. I was thinking about using
