...ist. I've just configured a PDC server using RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 (update 5) and Samba 3.0.25a. Everithing is working fine. I'm not using LDAP and all my client machines are installed with Windows XP Professional. I used the Mike Petersen website ( http://www.pcc-services.com/custom_poledit.html) to help me creating the NTConfig.pol file and created custom profiles folder for each user. My PDC has three distincts groups. I've mapped them using the same name for both NTGroup and UnixGroup (net groupmap add ntgroup=XXX unixgroup=XXX). I'm not using any Windows default groups...

I have an NTConfig.POL I created from poledit with the Windows 2000 Administrator toolkit. It contains my WSUS configuration, and NTConfig.POL is placed in my [netlogon] share and is being loaded fine by the clients. Is this still the propery way to create NTConfig.POL files, or is there a newer utility I should be using? I'm looking at Vista and it uses .admx templates, which I guess

Does anyone know how to setup the smb.conf file for the my document folder redirection in windows. If I point it to a root share, with a Microsoft file server, it will automatically create a folder for each user with a my documents folder under that.
