Again kea DHCP-Server
...P (deffinetly NOT kea) and kea for more complex networks. We have the same with the internal DNS and Bind9. So having a script for both kea and dnsmasq would be nice :-). I took a look at kea and it's like buying a Porsche to get the breakfast rolls from the other side of the street.
Most of my custemers will stayx with isc-dhcp (as log as it is possible) because kea is to complex and to overloaded.

Printer accounting/quota ?
Hi all,
I am about to install a Samba server at a local school, and i need some
advice and/or experience from others who have worked on a installation
of that type/size.
My plan is to roll-out a Samba server (of course), with LDAP back-end,
and a number of printer queue's via CUPS.
There will be aprox. 1000 user accounts, mostly students.

samba PDC with NIS, or other solution?
We have a network with Windows NT/2000, SGI's, Linux, Macintosh, AIX. Our
user account/passwords for all our machines is handled by NIS on an AIX
machine.
Our unix machines autheticate through NIS. Our windows machines
authenticate by loging on to an NT server acting as the PDC, and that PDC
has a service installed on it called "WinDD NIS" (made by Tektronix I
