Background music during a call
Hi All, I am in desperate need of this feature. I want to play background music during a call while the 2 parties are having some lovely conversation (or maybe give them a sort of cursing background if they are cursing each other). I found this post which talks about creating a ghost call with the help of queues and putting that queue in a meetme room where queue will play the song/curse and the

[LLVMdev] Let's not depend on terminfo / curses?
...o using terminfo for detecting if terminals support escape codes. There's some discussion about this after the commit happened here: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20130805/183590.html After the discussion, it looks like the approach was switched from depending on curses on just terminfo. From what I gather (the changelog didn't say), the motivation for this is that depending on curses is better than printing escape codes in terminals that don't support them. I think depending on curses is gross, and there haven't been many complaints about clang print...

I agree with Joerg that hard-coding escape sequences is not the way forward. Even though curses is available on pretty much every OS, there are hacks you have to do to port across OSs, especially old Unices. If...

Error when compiling tinc 1.1pre3 - configure: error: "curses header files not found."
Hi! I'm trying to compile tinc-vpn 1.1pre3 on Ubuntu 12.10, but I get this error: checking curses.h usability... no checking curses.h presence... no checking for curses.h... no configure: error: "curses header files not found." (See the attached text file for the output when running ./configure) I have searched on google after this error message but I can't find anything abou...

I need to run windows program with command line parameters?
In Windows; to have Firefox pass psyn links to the Curse client I use this command: Code: "C:\Program Files\Curse\CurseClient.exe" -url "%1" but when I try to get Linux's Firefox to pass the psyn link to the Curse client running in wine, wine of course assumes that -url and the quotation marks are for it and not the actual Windows command it's meant to run. How do I

[PATCH] use ncurses-config to find all curses related libs
After a split of libtinfo from libncurses in openSuSE Factory the tools will not link anymore. In the URL below it was suggested to use ''ncurses-config --libs'' to find the correct linker options. But ncurses-config does not exist neither in SLES11 nor in openSuSE. So check for both ncurses5-config and ncurses-config, if t...

[LLVMdev] llvm-config curses-related failures
Hi Eli I don’t know a workaround which will keep support for coloured terminal output, but if you can live without it then passing these to configure should work. --enable-curses=no --enable-terminfo=no Thanks, Pete On Sep 6, 2013, at 9:09 PM, Eli Bendersky <eliben at gmail.com> wrote: > Hello, > > I'm trying to build some code that relies on LLVM as a library (out-of-source). I think the problem had to do with the fact that my previous svn update on this machine was before Chandler's curses-related changes, and I then ran 'make update' whic...

[LLVMdev] llvm-config curses-related failures
Hello, I'm trying to build some code that relies on LLVM as a library (out-of-source). It uses llvm-config for the compilation & linkage flags. Some recent change breaks it, and with the newest trunk LLVM I get: /home/eliben/llvm/build_llvm_svn_rw/Debug+Asserts/lib/libLLVMSupport.a(Process.o): In function `terminalHasColors':

Problems using network code and trying to add a GUI
...application (server) that will accept connections from clients through TCP, which then play a game through it. As things change in the game (players coming and going, games being won and lost), I want things to update in the GUI. I am trying to do this in such a way that I can use a text mode or curses mode if I want. Basically I have a bunch of hooks that get called in the server to a generic "output object" and I want my GUI to be one of those objects. Here''s the problem: Every time I try something like this, be it curses or graphically based, I have problems with things up...

[patch] xenmon.py: add next/previous bindings to curses mode
Cycling around many CPUs in XenMon''s curses mode can get cumbersome. This trivial patch adds bindings to move to the previous CPU. The next/previous binding seems more natural to me than the earlier cycle binding, but we can keep them all for now. # HG changeset patch # Node ID 146b5c76086c07fad61bea7ccf60f2f4fd66abbd # Parent 7dd31dbf16e7...

Curse of Monkey Island doesn't work with wine 0.9.24
I installed the game like it is described in the WineHQ application database. The installation worked without problems but running the game produced the following error message: Cannot create DirectSound object (-2147467259) I got around this by switching off OSS sound and using ALSA instead, but know I have the same problem that Erich Hoover mentioned in the AppDB. The music starts to play but

Later I wanted to launch it again, but now it gets stuck after the logo intro.
