Version controlled (git) Maildir generated by Dovecot
Hi Everybody,
I'd like to start archiving e-mails by moving them to a server with running Dovecot.
I installed "dovecot-core" and "dovecot-imapd" (version 2.3.4.1) on Debian 10.
One of a few configurations I made is to use Maildir:
# grep '^mail_location = ' /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf
mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir
I successfully moved some e-mails (at

imap processes eating IO
[Ignore the previous e-mail, I somehow sent it when I was trying to
paste from clipboard]
I recently migrated my dovecot/postfix setup to a new machine. After
doing so, I have encountered a problem where imap processes get stuck in
a loop eating loads of IO on the machine. Looking at the trace (snippet
below), it looks like they are sitting and reading the inbox and other
folders of

Xen 4.2.0 - CPU Frequency Scaling
Hi,
This has been a problem since the xen-acpi-processor code was added to
the kernel source. I wasn''t sure if the problem I was seeing was
related to the old version (4.1.2) of Xen that I was using but now I''m
on 4.2.0 and it still exists I thought I would check if I have a
misconfiguration or if I have discovered a problem. My system is a dual

Version controlled (git) Maildir generated by Dovecot
Hello Adam, and the dovecot list
Just a question, I hate to pollute the thread, so feel free to push these
questions into a new thread if deemed necessary. So as you can guess I'm a
bit of a newb here, so rather obvious questions are about to arrive....
As you are using GIT for your archive (which is a cool idea by the way) I'm
sure you are well aware that not all files types play nicely

chan_ss7 with ringing, but no voice stream.
hello, all of users:
sorry, resend it again for clarifying the message. I have implemented cha_ss7 in china. initially, the
chan_ss7 can not support the call group. i modify the code.
now the problem is that, both sides can hear the ring, but i
can not hear the voice from each other.
i think the ss7 does not send the voice steam to the destination.
in chan_ss7, i added:

app_valetparking.c
Since www.bkw.org seems not to exist anymore (getting response from some
hosting provider), does anyone happend to have a copy of app_valetparking.c
from www.bkw.org - the one that should work with * stable 1.0.X ? If so

One that can be downloaded from www.loligo.com dosn't compile with 1.0.X,
and SuperValletParking (www.asterlink.com/svp/) seems to be for * HEAD

Re: app_valetparking.c for * STABLE (1.0.X)
Nope ! This is the one that tries to include PRE 1.0.X header file
<parking.h>.
It cannot compile on * 1.0.X (I have tried also to include <features.h>
instead of <parking.h> (as far as I know features.h is successor to
parking.h), but still without results).
Thanks anyway.

Maybe. Heck, I?ll grant probably, even.
But what do I do about it? How can I see when and where Dovecot is making hundreds of hard links to single

What is happening here - rsync can't copy where cp can, Input/Output errors
I am using rsync version 2.6.9 protocol version 29 on a Fedora 7
system to backup files to a network drive.
rsync is getting I/O errors when copying maildir files (I'm not sure
if the error is happening with other files but these are the only ones
I have found so far).
I have done some tests on one particular directory, "cp -R" succeeds
but "rsync -r" fails:-

Simple Stacking of Two Columns
Hi R-Helpers,
Sorry to bother you, but I have a simple task that I can't figure out how to do.
For example, I have some names in two columns
NamesWide<-data.frame(Name1=c("Tom","Dick"),Name2=c("Larry","Curly"))
and I simply want to get a single column

Vim-R-plugin (new version)
Dear R users,
The author of Tinn-R (Jose Claudio Faria) now is co-author of
Vim-R-plugin2, a plugin that makes it possible to send commands
from the Vim text editor to R. We added many new key bindings,
restructured the menu and created new Tool Bar buttons. The new
version is available at:

Mails Not Deleting in first POP3 Session
The dovecot -n output is attached to this email. Filename dovecot-n_filtered.conf.
Dovecot Version: 2.2.10

Customised legend in lattice
Hi List,
Am trying to customize a legend in trellis: Draws 2x5 lines in 5 colors and
2 linetypes. I would like to add two more items to the legend showing the
key for the line types above the colored legend.
Any suggestions welcome - thanks Herry

Manually creating folders from terminal
I'm trying to use a script to create a mailbox structure. I'm aware that the structure should look like:
~/.maildir/.INBOX/{cur,tmp,new}
~/.maildir/.INBOX.Subfolder1/{cur,tmp,new}
~/.maildir/.INBOX.Subfolder2/{cur,tmp,new}
~/.maildir/.INBOX.Subfolder2.Subsubfolder1/{cur,tmp,new}

I have tried manually making those directories and using the "maildirmake.dovecot" command that

Users can't delete an email (Totally Random effect)
Hello all... Found a weird one here. I tried to search the web but I'm
not having luck so I thought I'd hit the mailing list.
We have noticed off and on all school year that every so often a user
gets an email that they just can't delete using Thunderbird or Outlook
over IMAP (we do not support Pop3 anymore.) Essentially the user clicks
the email and takes it to the trash.

[PATCH 1/2] libdrm/nouveau: new optimized libdrm pushbuffer ABI
This patch changes the pushbuffer ABI to:
1. No longer use/expose nouveau_pushbuffer. Everything is directly
in nouveau_channel. This saves the extra "pushbuf" pointer dereference.
2. Use cur/end pointers instead of tracking the remaining size.
Pushing data now only needs to alter cur and not both cur and remaining.
The goal is to make the *_RING macros faster and make the
