One, I need to restart the samba service every time I add a printer. Two, I need to log in via console or SSH to run cupsaddsmb, and I need to then authenticate. This is probably a CUPS bug but maybe not, I'll mention it here just in case. When using cupsaddsmb to install 64bit drivers the drivers must be in the (maybe distro/configure dependent): /usr/share/cups/drivers/x64 to be sure that's "x64" with a lower case "x".
