This change is replacing 3-clause BSD with 2-clause BSD. Shouldn't cuase
any actual difference for consumers, but seems like a needless change to
be making.

Samba 2.2 -> 3.0.0 upgrade: questions + Internet Connection Wizard / Identities
..., I have had to add the following to my smb.conf file to use tdbsam successfully.
logon home = \\%L\%U
logon path = \\%L\%U\profile
I had to do this in order to get the correct string to come up in pdbedit -Lv for the "Home Directory" and "Profile Path" variables (the defaults cuased %N to show in place of the server name) - when I used 'smbpasswd' as the backend pdbedit -Lv showed proper values and things worked OK.
I also had to mess around a bit with 'net groupmap' modify/list to get the standard Windows groups to map properly to UNIX groups, as discussed i...

the same network blockage also manifested itself in a pure 1.0.33

The log shows that there are a lot of "Got ADD_EDGE from nodeX

turns out that the mismatches were cuased by different weight received
by add_edge_h().

Dovecot for production environment
Sorry if this question has been asked before I looked through some of the
archives before posting this.
I am considering using dovecot on a small 35 user environment (only around
6 gigs of email) that will be primarly be used with squirrelmail for the
MUA. I have been using dovecot for a few weeks now and really like it. It
is a big improvement over uw-imap thats for sure. I was wondering how

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
That's what I'm going to do, after purging all the current nvidia stuff frommy system.
The second thing I'm going to do is download, build and install the latest decent version of Wine.
Thanks for all your advice. It's been really helpful.

One more question. What with OpenGL support getting dropped from WoW, I was wondering if it was worth trying to use DirectX under

e2fsck errors after lvextend when trying to resize2fs
I found a thread that has almost the exact same symptoms as me, but didn't
seem to come to a resolution:
https://listman.redhat.com/archives/ext3-users/2004-December/msg00018.html
I have an LVM(2) array that I've just lvextend'd and want to resize2fs, but I
can't get through the e2fsck. I get these errors when fsck-ing:

All machines in both subnets would get 192.168.0.4 (PDC) as WINS server

Does anyone know if this is actually is a good approach and the slowness

Anyway I read on a previous posting to this list (and the manual) that
it's possible to use remote browse sync to sync the browse lists. So I
decided to change the strategy and configure the PDC as below:

[Bug 24147] New: xv output slow and causes wmaker screen corruption
...EW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau at lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: aeriksson at fastmail.fm
QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org
Starting "mplayer -vo xv -hardframedrop anyfile.avi" cuases wmclock and
wmcpuload to show garbled icons.
Additonally, the video playback is unbearably slow, circa one frame every 5
seconds. Back when 2.6.29 was shipped (at which point I believe nouveau was
without ttm), xv playback was super smooth.
