CTR21/CTR37 Gigaset phones and GS HT286
...igaset phones and GS
HT286s.
Gigaset 100 and 3010 phones work perfectly, but a 4010 only rings once
then it goes off and then just flashes it's LEDs and displays "incoming
call" on the LCD with no further ringing. According to the manual it is
CTR37 but the only setting on the GSs is CTR21, I've tried different
cables but some actually make it worse i.e. no ring at all.

Problems calling a phone number through a X101P card
...call, and then play one
of the .gsm sound files.
I'm in France, so first I tried modprobing wcfxo with
opermode=1, but the DAA mode remained FCC, so I
changed the opermode variable in wcfxo.c to 1 by hand
and recompiled & reinstalled the driver. Now it says
that it's using the DAA mode CTR21.
I've also put in zapata.conf:
signalling=fxs_ks
context=default
channel => 1
Now, to try the whole thing, I created a sample.call
with (let's say that the telephone number that I'm
trying to read is 0101010101):
Channel: Zap/1/0101010101
MaxRetries: 0
RetryTime: 60
WaitTime: 30...

Germany specific settings for Grandstream ATA286 - Polarity reversal, impedence and onhook voltage
Hi,
the new Grandstream release for the ATAs allows the setting of the FXS
impedence, the Onhook Voltage and the Polarity Reversal.
Anyone know how these should be set in Germany?

...has the Silicon Labs Si3014/Si3034 chips which are
supposed to support "global line standards".
I'm located in continental Europe, and apparently, for call-progress
detection to have any chance to work correctly, I need to change the
DAA from "FCC" (North America) to "CTR21" (Europe). Does someone know
how to do this?
Thank you.

X100P does not detect ringing
Hi!
The X100P is working - partly. I can make outgoing calls. But the card
has got a problem detecting incoming calls. Even in verbose mode I don't
see any hint that the card detects a call.
At the moment I'm using the card behind my old ISDN telephone system.
Could it be a problem with the line voltage?
Can I adjust anything when loading the kernel module?
Bye!
Michael
