chmod g+w on directory causes script not to execute anymore

The user markus is in the group users. So I thought
the script might execute if I removed the user from
that group with the command:
usermod -G markus,adm,wheel,rpm,xgrp,ntools,ctools markus
But when I try again:
9:56:42 markus ~/test>echo $USER
markus
9:56:44 markus ~/test>groups
markus adm wheel rpm xgrp ntools ctools
9:56:46 markus ~/test>l .. | grep test

I was just debugging why TFTP booting did not work any more
on a system that had pxelinux.0 was updated.

addition. To ensure that the produced code is not over-specialised to
the training profiling data an additional set of data will be used.
MiDatasets (http://ctuning.org/wiki/index.php/CTools:CBench:Downloads)
provides alternatives inputs for the MiBench suite, so that will be used
to test this.
The next large chunk of work will be to make use of the exisiting path

error starting client-server protocol (code 5)
I'm running FreeBSD 4.6.2 on two different machines. Both machines have
rync installed by way of the ports library, but one of them is running
it as a server. I followed the directions in the man pages for running
the server using inetd.
Here is what happens:
rsync rsync://myusername@10.0.0.8/
rsync: server sent "rysnc version 2.5.5 protocol version 26" rather than
