...acle clusterware behaved. After this happened, my ASM and RDBMS instances stayed
up. None of the machines rebooted. But the CRS deamon appears to be having issues.
When I run "crsctl check crs" on all 3 nodes, I get the error "Cannot communicate with CRS" on all 3 nodes.
The cssd log directory has a core file .. yet I can log into all 3 database instances as if nothing happened.
I suspect this is a bug?
The CRSD log files reveal some sort of issue relating to problems writing to the ocr file ..which is on ocfs2. But
if there really was a problem, wouldn't ocfs2 have r...

IE/CSS issue using Sortables....but only on the first drag
OK, I''m in need of help :)
I''ve got a bug in IE (whoa!) that I can''t figure out. I think its
CSS-related, but I sure can''t figure out what the problem is.
Go here: http://jerod.ontasksoftware.com/demo/index.php
and drag one of the items in the center listbox. In FF, it works
beautifully. In IE6, it shoots off to the left...but ONLY once. After

Expand replicated bricks to more nodes/change replica count
Hi list
I have set up several volumes on a two-node Gluster setup using
"replica 2" configurations. I would like to add two more nodes to the
trusted pool so that all volumes are replicated on 4 nodes. I wonder
if that can be done online, but after doing some research on this I
didn't find evidence that it's possible to change the replica count
_after_ the volume has been

how can I get offsetHeight in IE?
Ok,
This is driving me nuts. I am trying to determine the height of
an element in IE, but offsetHeight returns undefined. I looped through
all of the attributes that contain the word ''height'', both in the
element and in the element.style, but they are all undefined. Is there
a better way to determine the rendered height of an element? Is there
something I need to do to the

brick out of space, unmounted brick
Hello Gluster users,
Before I put Gluster into production, I am wondering how it determines whether a byte can be written, and where I should look in the source code to change these behaviors. My experiences are with glusterfs 3.2.4 on CentOS 6 64-bit.
Suppose I have a Gluster volume made up of four 1 MB bricks, like this
Volume Name: test
Type: Distributed-Replicate

Directory listings not working
Hello,
I just finished installing gluster on two machines in server mode in EC2.
I have mounted it via fuse on one of the boxes. Here is my volume info:
# gluster volume info
Volume Name: fast
Type: Stripe
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 2
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: server1:/data2
Brick2: server2:/data
All of this works great, and I can write files at a fairly high throughput.

Exorbitant cost to achieve redundancy??
I'm trying to justify a GlusterFS storage system for my technology
development group and I want to get some clarification on
something that I can't seem to figure out architecture wise...
My storage system will be rather large. Significant fraction of a
petabyte and will require scaling in size for at least one decade.
from what I understand GlusterFS achieves redundancy through
