Speex on Nokia Symbian S60 phones
Is speex at this stage a good codec to use for real-time voice transmission
over a direct CSD connection between two phones? Does anyone have any
experience with using Speex on Nokia phones?
If speex is not a good solution for this task, what would you recommend?

Openssh-2.1.1p1 and solaris 7/8
Hello,
I just installed the above openssh onto a Sun Solaris 7 and Solaris 8 system.
No problem with that. However, I now seem to get some rubbish processed when
I login with slogin. An example:
Last login: Tue Jun 13 12:31:27 2000 from jhorne.csd.plymo:tJ`
^[[?1;2c
Telnet logs in okay, but just shows 'Last login...jhorne.csd.plymo'.
This seems to get passed to the shell, which it of course errors on. I do,
however, actually login okay. This is seen on both systems. As a test I
purged the /var/adm/lastlog file - logged out, logged...

Speex on Nokia Symbian S60 phones
...; <lists at infosecurity.ch>:

Did a quick search and saw ARM CPUs with speeds above 100 MHz. That should
actually be enough for Speex, at least for narrowband.

Except that Speex *defaults* to CBR and only uses VBR when told to do so.

syslinux-2.05 boot floppy failures, size related?
...uff in the kernel allows syslinux to
boot it. (I've booted 1200K+ images often, but syslinux
seems to have problems with around 900K+ and 1100K+ images.)
4. syslinux -s makes no difference at all.
I've put my latest failed bzImage and corresponding 2.6.0-test3
.config in http://www.csd.uu.se/~mikpe/linux/syslinux205bug/,
in case anyone can debug it. I tried looking at syslinux' source
but it's a big pile of assembly so I'm lost there...

proportional symbol map ggplot
Hello,
we want to plot a proportional symbol map with ggplot. Symbols' area should
have the same proportions as the scaled variable.
Hereby an example we found on
http://www.r-bloggers.com/bubble-chart-by-using-ggplot2/ . In this example
we see the proportions of the symbols' area are different from the
proportions of the scaled variable:

2) how do I read the headers (and e.g. print them) using rails

Do we really need that _local/_remote distinction? ISTR you had a patch
that frobbed flush_tlb_info into the csd and that gave space
constraints, but I'm not seeing that here (probably a wise, get stuff
merged etc..).
