Can not install Excel97/Word97
Hello!
I am new to this list (although I have done a fair amount of research in the archives) and I need to ask what is probably one of the most frequently asked questions on a list like this:
How do I install Word97 and Excel97?
(Codeweavers CrossoverOffice can do this, and they ASSURE us that they roll everything they do back to the main wine CVS and hence, this SHOULD work!)
So far; this is what I've done:
Debian (testing) distribution, running the debian-packaged version of wine, which seems to be "Wine 20020605". (At least that'...

Hello,
I tried to install Mapsource 6 in Wine (20050211.2) on MDK LE2005 but it
didn't install... The same with GIDroute which installed but didn't want to
be launched.
I will give it a try on MDV 2006 but I don't expect a miracle. And the pseudo
map applications for Linux are not really what we can consider as useful and
easy to handle with...

Need assistance connecting Garmin GPS via USB in Mapsource
I am new to Linux, Ubuntu, WIne etc but despite all that I am operating in Ubuntu 8.10, with MapSource 6.13.6 installed via Wine 1.0.1. I know there is an issue in getting MapSource to recognize the GPS while connected via USB but I am unable to understand the steps provided to solve this issue.

Installing Office on Crossover
Dear friends:
I have been trying to install MSOffice using Crossover. I have an old
license from 2002, which entitled me to install the Crossover Plugin and
the CrossoverOffice Set up. Support for them has expired, but both
programs uinstalled fine into their own directory in KDE. But I do have
a problem installing MSOffice. I keep getting the error message "Unable
to get a list of applications". I searched in the Crossover archives and
in Google for an answ...
