Network Neighborhood Crazyness Idea
Just an idea... We all know that NN under Windows is at best non predictable and totally impossible to use since many times machines are not showing themselves and so on.... We all know also that Samba is never the problem with that, it's just the M$ protocol. So my idea: if some clever Window$ programmer makes an app that is just doing the same: You launch the app you have the list of

rsyncd.conf: "timeout=<minimal>" crazyness
Hi, from time to time, in times like today where the whole world is grabbing SUSE-9.2 and/or debian-30r4, I really like to condemn those other anon rsync server admins (you know, the successors of the traditional unix ftp server admins). They usually have within their /etc/rsyncd.conf a line like timeout = <very low> because they are thinking "less" there is "better for

vncserver on CentOS 7
I am trying to setup a centos 7.1 vncserver I cannot believe they went from a relatively easy process in 6 to the "crazyness" that is 7. I did the following: yum install tigervnc-server cp /lib/systemd/system/vncserver at .service /etc/systemd/system systemctl daemon-reload edit /etc/systemd.system/vncserver at .service and replace <USER> with my...

load balancing over 4 lines to one provider
yes, this is a crazy subject. I have 4 ADSL lines to the same provider, which even have the same gateway. Those lines are connected to the same machine (more crazyness: even connected to the same nic. it works fine, I swear). this machine will serve this conenction to a local net. so, I setup the ifaces correctly, everything works. I add balancing using this command: # ip route replace default nexthop dev ppp0 nexthop dev ppp1 nexthop dev ppp2 nexthop dev ppp...

[job] LLVM compiler engineer job opportunity at QuarksLab
...eer It's a job that requires creativity to design new code obfuscation, compiler skills to integrate them in our LLVM based compiler, tenacity to have everything run on all supported platforms and architectures (read Linux, Windows, Android, iOS, OSX with different arch variant). And a seed of crazyness when you need to debug that :-) For a more technical view of our work, have a look to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d72Snpxx4Co Or read: https://blog.quarkslab.com/tag/obfuscation.html [0] https://epona.quarkslab.com/

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] LLVM & Clang file management
...elf what the purpose of the overriding is in SourceManager, as it seems like the FileManager's overriding abilities would already be enough to achieve the same purpose (apart from the direct call to stat() in SourceManager.cpp I see). If I'm not missing anything I'd assume that all that crazyness would go away once there is a full virtual file system? Cheers, /Manuel

accessing foreign AD users to NT domain
...have to manual track ID values to avoid duplicates. Im still waiting for Rowland's its patch to go in samba. Its just crazy that even when we can use and add UnixAttributes, its not stored in the AD. This would help so much if its in, maintaining UID/GIDs manualy is not an option, that's crazyness And forces you into RID, but this is my personal opinion. I dont like RID backends in general, but you can use it. It all depends on your needs and what your willing to risk what and where. > > Sure. GTX 760 passed through
Hello, I''ve successfully passed a unmodified GTX 760 to Win7 x64. It involved some driver patching on the client side but I''m close to getting the required steps on the server side, too. Are there any legal issues that might arise from releasing a patch? Bob [image: Inline image 1] _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xen.org
