Password Generator
Can anyone suggest any apps/scripts for bulk generating passwords from real names (e.g. jsmith from John Smith) that would check for duplicated in an existing smbpasswd or passwd file and append a number to the username (e.g. jsmith1, jsmith2). All I can do is advise you, NTLMv1 is easily crackable, so, if you can use a stronger authentication method, then I suggest you use it. new laptop: DVD or Blu-ray
One of the build options for a laptop I'm looking at buying is DVD vs Blu-Ray. I've never used Blue-ray before, so is there some compelling reason, as a Linux guy, to want to get Blu-ray?

source questions & intentions to patch: yp-timing & auth
Good Day, Looking at the SVN repo: there's 30+ commits since the 2.6.2 release; the last one from August 2009. Are there any intentions to roll a release anytime soon? Are there any more recent branches? I'm currently looking into extending icecast2 (more below) and am wondering if I should base the patches on 2.6.2+debian-fixes or work from svn-trunk? We are using a cluster of icecast
